The black and white decorative carving is handsome. The woodgrain is seriously lacking the ooomph and pazzazz that the picture had. Much more pale and subdued, also have a few dings and scuff marks. Also in case anyone is wondering, the ends are cream & dk. brown designs, their ad pic can kinda look like shiny silver ends if you aren't sure what you are looking at.
