Iam hooked! Andy, no joke, no exaggerations! It would help to know what you want to write before starting. Once the pen point is on the paper the ink flows dear...if u do have trouble with you ink smearing after you just just freshly write something & that's a huge IF, just try not to drag your wrist/hand while writing...the ink does dry very quickly, works well while in flight, when I write personal checks which isn't that often...fraud scam artist people cannot wash the ink off of the few personal checks i write...I've let one of my gel ink pens blot out on my bed linens accidentally & that stain is STILL THERE?! YIKES & SMH@self...Christ me! I guess that meant they're pretty damn permanent! Lol! My goodness! It really depends on how you write, and how you like your ink to look on the page. If you like a clean, fine deposit, I'd go with the 0.5mm. The 0.8mm deposits more ink but is still easily controlled, and the 0.5mm tends to reveal a bit more of the infused ink color and, of course, is finer on the page.
