There is no production date that I can see anywhere on the container. Why not?** A: On the tubs it is located on the upper beveled edge right above the label, on the bags there is a small stamp a few inches to the left of the barcode on the back. The expiration date stamp also contains the lot number which is a requirement of the FDA. It is possible that Amazon placed their barcode sticker over top of the expiration date stamp, and in rare cases it could be rubbed off of the plastic tub, but there would be obvious signs of friction. Cookies & Cream was just reintroduced with an improved flavor, so any units of it will not be set to expire until 2023. **Q: Does this taste better than quest protein?** A: I find the Quest powders to be way too sweet. After some research, I settled on PEScience Select Protein Powder. I was curious to see whether, as the recipe promised, a blend of whey and casein would work better than either protein alone. My understanding is that the casein provides a rich, creamy mouthfeel, while the whey balances that density by adding a lighter, soft-serve-like texture.This protein powder came highly recommended for its flavor, protein content, and reasonable calorie count. It mixes well with both almond milk and Fairlife 0% Fat Milk, and it made some very tasty high-protein, low-calorie ice cream. The texture was definitely superior to the whey-only protein powders I've tried.I also appreciated being able to purchase a 5-serving package before committing to a large container. Many brands offer single-serving samples, but they tend to be more expensive per serving, and one serving isn't always enough to thoroughly evaluate a product. PEScience is the only brand I've found that offers these 5-serving trial sizes, providing a better value and plenty of powder for experimenting with different recipes.I can already tell this one is a keeper.
