A: Made is Rockford, Illinois out of American steel.

**Q: Is the side of the hammer flat or curved?**
A: Flat

**Q: How is this for cutting 8x16x8 concrete blocks?**
A: For me, I prefer a 20-22 ounce hammer for concrete block. This hammer will work. Depends on the personal preference

**Q: Can this be used to crack open rocks?**
A: It is designed for brick but I'd think it would work since I have done it, but granite (igneous rock) might wear it down faster. It works with layered rock pretty well and can cleave the layer then you swing the handle sideways to open the crack more. However the hammer is not hardened steel.
