Arrived with the handle broken turned it back.
Arrived with the handle broken turned it back, also glad it was the case as when compared to the similar product from Cusinart I was replacing which I had from 2012 this is a more expensive yet a much lower quality than what it used to be. wouldn't buy again

This is a great sandwich toaster…but it actually is so much more than that! Having tried a few different types of toaster that were either too small, or, just didn’t do a very good job, this Cuisinart Grill and Griddle does a great job. The machine is well made, with a good quality feel. So easy to use, and clean. The unit comes with a set of flat griddle plates and a set of ribbed grill plates that are so easy to swap over. You can also easily open the grill out flat, to cook a variety of different food and vegetables. The temperature control allows for excellent adjustment to suit your needs. The only thing that I would say is a negative would be that the unit is rather large, but if that’s not a problem for you, then the larger size becomes an advantage. Well happy with this one!

Got this in October and maybe used 10 times and worked great. Now unfortunately 3 months later it now no longer works.

I don't use it very often, I'd say 2-3 times a month, for 2 people. Overall, I am happy with it. I used both functions (grill/griddle), the plates heat up quickly and the heat is distributed evenly. It is easy to clean and didn't have problems with food sticking to the plates, or oil dripping on the countertop. It is quite big compared to the normal sandwich makers, and it takes up a lot of space (wouldn't fit in a small kitchen), but I don't mind because it looks good. It has a mechanical timer, that seems to be functional, but I found a bit odd. I'd expect to hear a sound when it reaches the default position. Well, it is ticking during the countdown but doesn't make any sound when it reaches 0. Only stops the ticking. Probably this is how it is supposed to work, but what's the point of having a timer if it doesn't notify when the time is up? After two years of use, the temperature button broke while cleaning/wiping the appliance. The clamps that hold the inner stud are made of low-quality plastic, two of them broke and I couldn't control the temperature at all. Luckily It was under the warranty period, so I sent it back to be repaired. I thought they would just replace the button, but they've sent a new grill (I hope the old one didn't end up in the landfill). No complaints about the interaction with customer support, everything was clear and they sorted it quickly. I'm giving it 3 stars only because I had that issue with it, within the warranty period. For the price, I'd expect it to last more than 3-5 years (that would be covered by warranty), in average conditions, for example, a family of 4, that would use it twice a week let's say.
