I've been using this light about a year now. In that time I have flowered 4 sets of plants. The results have been very good. Very nice, dense buds. This light penetrates the canopy reasonably well. The lights are adjustable and that's good. I usually start my plants under a fluorescent light set up and move them at about 6 or so weeks from the low light set up to the Vivosun VS4000 tent. When you first introduce them, they need the lower setting to adjust, or you risk light burn. I start them on 40% and work them up over time. The light emits some heat but that's easily managed with ventilation. One of my lights had a problem about 11 months after I started using it. I contacted Vivosun and went through a series of emails explaining a few things to them. This was a bit of a pain but I understand there's a process they are following. In any case, the light was replaced with a new unit which I received promptly. Of course, ideally there would be no issues, but I am satisfied with the manner in which the warranty was handled. This is a good light if you are using a 3x3 tent.

I've purchased a lot of Vivosun's products for their competitive prices but their quality has never failed me. This set of light is hands down gorgeous and efficient. I use it in my 5x5 grow tent, and the plants are doing great under it. The things I love about this light: + The affordable price. Nothing beats Vivosun's in that matter. A comparable light with Samsung diodes could run easily over $500. + Look at how thin and lightweight it is in the attached photos. Amazing!! + It is so bright you NEED to make sure to wear glasses. My plants are loving it. Light has the dimming function; simply turn the knob to set it at 40%, 50%, 60%, 80% and 100% capacity. + It's completely quiet. No more annoying ticking sounds from the failing purple/pinkish light that I previously used. + The green quick-release button is an awesome feature for easy rope adjustment. + It could run a little warm in a small enclosed space, but nothing out of ordinary for a 4000 light. In fact, I think it's emitting less heat than the 2000 (200w) light I got from another brand. Personally, I'm not using it with a fan, but it wouldn't hurt if you want one.

Ordered this light in July 2023, it's March 2024 and it's dead. When to check on things and it is totally dead. Contacted customer support. They said it has a 5 year warranty. Waiting to hear from customer service rep. Will continue this review when I know more. Customer support contacted me within a day. Had to do a couple of things to verify light not working. There is a new light on the way totally covered by warranty. Excellent customer service. They have earned a loyal customer. Thanks Vivosun.

Bought the VS4000 for my first ever grow. Hung it up in the tent to test it for a week or so before I began my grow. After 1 week, the brightness when ran at 100% was cut by ~60% and it never functioned again properly after that. Before that, it worked flawlessly. Reached out to Vivosun. They offered me a $200 refund on a $500 light and told me I could keep the light. Why the hell would I want to keep a broken light? Customer service takes over 24 hours to get back to you and they don’t help you at all. Anyways, Amazon was awesome about me returning it. I’m in the middle of that process now. STAY FAR AWAY! I’d return my tent, filter, and fan too if they weren’t such a pain to take down. Im returning the VS1000 that I bought as well just because I no longer want to support anything Vivosun.

Bought this light not knowing what to expect as the other name brands are like twice the cost for the same area coverage. Put this in my 5x5 grow tent and WOW, it was bright. I brought in my paper plants from outside and they weren't doing so well under my other light. The plants were yellowing and losing leaves. When I installed this light, my pepper plants showed 3 inches in height and dark green foliage after just one week. They are budding and hopefully soon they will bare fruit. I totally recommend this Vivosun VS4000 light for any budget choice indoor grower or even a more seasoned grower. Also gotta say, I bet your weed would grow crazy under this light.
