Every step was painful. I tried shaving it off but that seemed to make it worse. So, I tried Dr. Scholls. I changed the pad every other day, and after four applications I was still in pain. Then, I pulled off number 5. There was a lot of pain removing it, but that was because it took off a layer of skin and the nasty callous - like a rock 3/8" in diameter. Both the skin and callous were white. 95% of the pain went away and I was able to walk again! That was last evening and today I am walking around as I was before, and there is no pain and no hobbling - wow!. It took 5 pads but it really worked. Thank you Dr. Scholls. The cushion helped pad the area during the 10 days. I did add extra tape to keep the cushion on - maybe this wasn't necessary, but I wanted to make sure that it stayed in place.
