Absolutely works!
We rescued a long haired cat that was in terrible shape. Permanent herpes leading to breathing issues, broken whiskers, gross and coarse feeling fur, and of course gagging from hair balls. We bought this to cover most of these issues, and added in lysine for the respiratory herpes. At first he hated the taste of these, so we mixed them in the nutrivet l-lysine container so they’d absorb the taste - he loved them! We gave him 1-2 per day, every day, for three months. He hasn’t had a hairball gagging attack in 2 months, his fur is gorgeous and supple and he shedded his thick gross coat and has a silky one now. His whiskers are super long and he’s very alert. The sneezes and snorting stopped now as well. The fact that this product has omega 3’s for coat and skin health and also works for furballs is a total game changer. We will keep purchasing this for him! *he will eat then plain now without mixing but isn’t as excited because the smell and flavor is pretty gross, mixing them in with the better treats is the way to go for picky eaters

Great and it works!
We have a brother/sister pair of cats who shed like it's their full time job. The girl cat is 8.5 lbs and rather petite, and the boy cat is a beefy 13 lbs. We were getting tired of encountering "fur-cigars" every morning from one or both of them, so we thought to start them on a hairball treatment. After all, it can't be comfortable horking up that junk. We tried this formula - and my goodness, the cats LOVE it. We didn't go with the short-term high-dosage direction, but rather with the maintenance dose. That means we give each of them 1 chew in the morning and one in the evening, and allowed this chew to replace some of their other treats. In the month that we've been using this product, we haven't seen a single hairball, and it doesn't seem to be affecting them negatively in other ways. They still poop well, eat well, and it doesn't seem to be giving them any GI issues. The only thing I would suggest is that if your cat is smaller / petite, or if your beefier cat decides to inhale everything like a furry hoover, you might want to break the chew up into multiple pieces. I worry that they might not chew it well enough and get it stuck in their throat. The side benefit is that they think you're giving them multiple treats! Bottom line: excellent value for the money, the furbabies love the taste, it doesn't seem to harm them, and we are furball free in our house!

Decreased episodes of fur barf, yes!!
Frequently has hairballs, long haired cat. The pieces are a bit to much for her to eat the whole thing. She has a rat ulcer on her tongue. Doesnt chew her food, swallows it whole only likes dry food. Have to slice it up. Have to hide it in with cat snacks separate bowl. Has decreased amt of furballs, changed food to sensitive stomach. Give her 2 twice a day. Give when shes hungry. Will continue to use.

made my cat throw up
My cat loved these treats and gobbled them up, but each time I gave her one she would throw up about a half hour later. So, I have no idea if they work for hairballs because I had to stop using them. I can't figure out if the treat is too strong and concentrated (flavor, omega oils, fiber, etc.) or if she is allergic or sensitive to some ingredient in the treats. But I would be wary of these. Also, the label says to give your cat 8 treats a day in order to deal with hairballs. It's a small package and treating hairballs will end up being expensive because it would require a lot of these treats. And it could be fattening for your cat. Especially if the hairballs are an ongoing thing and not just an occasional thing. I'm not sure how you are supposed to know your cat has a hairball until after they've barfed it up, so the instructions are kind of useless. The label says for a hairball, give your cat 4 treats twice a day for a few days. But my two cats get hairballs all the time and there's no warning when they will barf one up. So I would have to give them each 8 treats a day every day?! The package would be used up 2 or 3 days. So, this was my last attempt at finding a treat to remedy hairballs and I've switched to simply adding a small amount of psyllium husk powder to my cats' wet food. I mix it in well and they don't even notice it and gobble it up with their regular food. I've never seen them have such well-formed bowel movements and the hairballs seemed to have stopped, too. The hair is passing through their GI tract like it's supposed to. The constipation is gone. So, I would not recommend these treats, but instead would recommend psyllium husk powder added to your cat's food.

Smelled amazing, just too solid for cats
They smelled very yummy and the cats liked the smell of them but they're big very solid pieces that my cats were unable to chew and so I ended up using a hammer to get the pieces to break up small enough for the cats. And I have big cats (Not fat).. I really wanted these to work because of the ingredients. But just don't have time to be breaking up pet treats. The dogs love them and did have to work at eating them... In my opinion not soft, and not easily edible, color was a dark brown.

I was hesitant at first because these have a strong smell and my cat didn't seem too interested. Now she loves them so much I use them to get her back into the house (no small feat!). She's also stopped coughing up hairballs all the time - another major point as she's a Turkish Van (long hair that changes with the season). Great!

These are the only Hairball "medicines" that my cat thinks are tasty, and they really seem to be helping! Instead of having a hairball every week, it's now reduced to about once a month. I feed her 1-4 pieces a day, as per the instructions, although they say you might need to feed up to 4 twice a day. Expensive in that case, but worth it.

The only thing I don't like is the flipping price I thought it was a bigger bat not one little package, not happy with the price. Tut

It's getting hard to find these now which is a shame because they really work! My cat thinks they are super delicious and has a lot less hairballs when I feed her 3 per day. I'm careful not to feed more than this or she gets diarrhea. Please keep making them as they are the only hairball product that she will eat!

iWorks for my long haired cats. They poop it out instead of puking it out
