What is the difference between these and the lipo gold that says theraputic on them instead of digestive?

"Therapeutic" refers to correcting an imbalanced -- or unhealthy -- condition in the body, rather than merely aiding digestion. When enzymes are used therapeutically, they are generally taken in larger quantities, between meals, rather than just before meals. The Enzymedica people are very generous about answering questions, if you want to phone them or chat with them on line.

How many grams of carbs does one capsule break down?

1 capsule digests up to 22 grams of fat. If you need more you can take 2 at one time which is more than enough for a high fat meal

It might. Does help with digestion of fat, but may want to consider a lower fat diet at same time.

My doctor informed me that unless there is an enteric coating is necessary for supplemental digestive enzymes to have any effect. Is this coated?

Lipase normally does its work in the stomach. An enteric coating would prevent the pill from breaking down in the stomach, where you'd want it to, if you're looking for the lipase enzyme to do its work where it normally would, in the stomach. As for the other 2 enzymes in the capsule, I haven't looked into as I was looking for a lipase supplement.
