Favorite skin care product. Price increased 70%
This a wonderfully effective product. My skin gets red and inflamed looking. I'm super sensitive to scented skincare products. For years I used a Camocare Chamomile cream that kept the redness and scaliness in check. After that product was discontinued, I tried 16+ different new products, most too perfume-y, expensive, drying, greasy etc. So happy to find this one, essentially odorless, a couple drops is enough, calmed my skin down in a few days. a few days in I noticed all these tiny round pearl like balls on my skin - the pores on forehead and nose were releasing clogs I didn't know were there, which likely help shrink pores. Age spots on my temples are mostly gone, that took over a year. Sign of the times, price increased to $16.99, up 70% since Jan. 2025 order, when it was $9.99.

Liquid gold In a bottle
I started using this product on August 9th, 2020. I have always been a bit apprehensive about trying something different from my normal skincare routine. What I was using has been working well; basically, a cleanser, a granular scrub of some sort, an Alpha Hydroxy Acid product and an eye moisturizer. I have always gotten compliments on my skin, but I regularly reevaluate what the needs of my skin are every few years and make minor changes to my routine. I felt it was time to try something a little different. Skincare has become far more scientific over the years with a host of products that actually work, but change is hard when you have something you are happy with. As I was shopping around on Amazon, I came across this. It had ingredients I researched online and I figured I had nothing to lose since I could ALWAYS go back to what I was already using. It was inexpensive enough, so why not try it? What I liked about the labeling of the product was the list of ingredients and I was especially curious about the Niacinamide and the MSM. I had never tried it and felt that my skin might benefit so long as the other ingredients kept their promise of keeping my skin clear (Retinol & Salacylic Acid) without drying it out. I was going to wait a full month before posting a review, but at approximately three weeks in, I have to say that this product is AMAZING. My skin is translucent, the texture is refined, my coloring has become more even. My razor glides over my skin quite effortlessly and after a shave, my skin feels so smooth and so soft, that I literally can't believe it's my skin. I had figured that with age, certain changes in my skin were inevitable no matter what I used. As effective as my previous regimen was, I noticed that uneven discolorations had popped up here and there (hyperpigmentation). I felt that the AHA I was using, would have to be replaced with a stronger / higher percentage product, but I didn't want to go that route if I didn't have to. I was already at 14% and I was concerned about going much stronger, but it was obvious that my skin was getting resistant. I originally started with 8% decades ago, then eventually went up to 10%, then 12% and finally 14%. I also wanted a product that was more of an all in one kind of thing (clearing, fading AND moisturizing) Anyway, with some apprehension, I chose to try this product which appeared to have a LOT of stellar reviews. I thought that it had to be too good to be true, especially given the price, but I am one who has absolutely NEVER believed that a higher price meant a better product. I've tried Clinique and Elizabeth Arden and Estee Lauder and any number of more expensive products, especially in the early years when I was desperate for ANYTHING that would keep my skin clear. They were either too harsh or completely useless and ineffective. It took a while, but I finally got past the myth that expensive meant better and went the natural product route which gave me my first success. I added the AHA much later in my 30's. In any case, that first night when I used the serum, I thought there was no way this light, milky, watery substance could POSSIBLY be as effective as my current routine. There was a very mild sting just as with my AHA products. The scent, which I would describe as medicinal, wore off as soon as the product was absorbed...literally seconds. After a couple of days, I started noticing that my coloring started to even out ever so slightly and then a few days later, most surprisingly, a blemish that had left a dark mark was fading much faster than normally expected. Usually, it would take several weeks to disappear. So, I got through week one and was pleased, but week 2 saw the surface peeling and flaking away leaving a fresh layer of skin underneath. My scrub easily assisted in the process of removing the dead surface cells. The difference was dramatic. Suddenly my skin was even smoother than I could remember for a long time, especially after having used AHA products religiously for decades. Little invisible subsurface needle sized bumps (congested pores) released their debris and were easily washed away with the scrub as well. The texture was better and shaving became even easier. The blades simply glided across the surface getting all the hairs in one pass. Discolorations that I had accepted as being permanent, are either gone or so significantly diminished that they are easily overlooked or discreetly hidden with the tiniest dab of skin matching concealer. Week three simply shows further improvement. In fact, there's nothing to hide. I can't believe this light, thin liquid could possibly be so effective, in such a short time. I immediately ordered another bottle after the second week, so that should tell you something. I don't want to be without it. Now I do have a few cautions: 1. Your skin will flake, but if you use a scrub, be gentle, especially if the scrub you use is highly abrasive, as mine is. I have a VERY hardy skin, but I did over-do it a little one time. I found that laying off both products for a day easily took care of the minor irritation I had caused myself. From then on I have been very gentle (letting the products do their thing and especially not working my scrub so forcefully; even using a less abrasive formula) and the products work together like a dream. 2. I chose to stop using my AHA products, as a precaution, for two weeks prior to receiving the new serum, since I wasn't sure what to expect and didn't want to risk a possible reaction.Given that my skin does NOT fall into the "sensitive" category, what works for me may not work for you. I STRONGLY SUGGEST DOING A PATCH TEST AS RECOMMENDED over a few days to see how your skin reacts. I had no ill effects other than being overzealous with my scrub the one time. If the product irritates you after a few times of regular use, stop for a day or two or limit how often you use it...maybe once as opposed to twice a day or ever other day. This strategy worked with my AHA products and I quickly got used to them, but certainly, if the product irritates you no matter what you do, then it's obviously not for you. 3. You may experience a slight purge. It probably depends on your skin. I noticed in some reviews that this was mentioned, while in others there was no indication that this happened. One reviewer stopped using the product because of this, but from the photos that were posted, the purge was quite active and severe, but no product is perfect for everyone. Mine was very slight. I didn't panic, especially since the little invisible pin points I mentioned earlier were gone in one scrub. I had a couple of blemishes that formed on my forehead, which is very oily, but they cleared and faded from view in just a few days. I know my skin well enough that I was not concerned, especially since normally I would have to deal with the blemish for several days and the aftermath of a discoloration for weeks beyond that. With this product, all was well and back to normal in just a matter of a few days. A dark mark never formed. The blemishes cleared, faded to pink and then disappeared completely in less than a week. For me, that's good; in fact miraculous. 4. I found that for me, the product made it through week three, but I have just now opened the other bottle. Using this on my face and neck (which also looks better), I find that the bottle contents did not last a month, but that could just be me. I do think that Eva Naturals should consider offering a larger size option, just as they do with their eye serum, which I purchased along with my second bottle of the clearing serum and have just started using that as well. I'll give a review on the eye serum in a few more weeks, especially since research of the ingredients shows that they take several weeks to show improvement although I'm already pretty hopeful. In summary, this is an effective multi task product that not only addresses multiple challenging skincare needs but also simplifies your routine and costs a lot less too. I noticed that other products are available as well. It appears that Eva Naturals has designed their line-up to allow customers to tailor their regimens to individual needs. That's how it should be. Just research your ingredients so that you know what they do and what to expect. So, get it, try it and see if you like it. Just remember that this particular product is for skin that has multiple challenges including acne, so figure out your skincare needs and then proceed accordingly. There's a lot to choose from. So far I like the eye serum, but as i previously indicated, it has not been long enough to judge the effectiveness. I hope this was helpful to someone. Good luck. I hope your experience will be as good as mine. Update 9/21/2020: So, another 10 days or so have passed and my skin has continued to improve. I'm REALLY happy. My coloring has completely evened out. My forehead is purging still, but not to any great degree. That's my oiliest area anyway. Once the blemishes pass the area clears up and the skin is like glass. There's just one area above the temple on one side that is going through the change. I do plan to try pairing this with a snail mucin product after another month or two. Perhaps I will try a moisturizer or another skin repairing serum. I haven't decided yet. I have ordered additional products from Eva; a toner and an exfoliating scrub. Their cleanser is currently unavailable and has been since I first ordered this product. In the meantime, I've gone ahead and ordered cleansers from another company and fully adopted a 7 step Korean skin care regimen. I had no idea that all these years I was doing something very similar already, so not a huge leap, but the ten step is really more of a myth and unrealistic (something you would do when giving yourself a facial perhaps). I will be writing separate reviews of their eye serum and the neck cream, both of which I am pleased with so far, but it's still too early.

Like it so far--redness is reduced and it got rid of some milia
I've been using this product for a little over two weeks so far which I don't think is enough time to fully review the product, but I did want to share what I've noticed so far and will update my review later on. I'm in my late 40s with fair, oily skin with some wrinkles but still deal with occasional breakouts and sometimes red, sensitive skin. I am new to serums but knew that I wanted to introduce vitamin C and retinol into my daily routine. This serum appealed to me because it had a lot of ingredients that are good for the skin plus salicylic acid which would help with my breakouts. The reviews were positive and I checked them against ReviewMeta where they passed as being natural. Often I find Amazon reviews for beauty products as being fake so I always check reviews now to make sure they're real, or as real as can be determined by an algorithm, anyhow. The serum has a faint scent of tea tree oil and citrus. I don't find it unpleasant and it dissipates quickly for me, but I'm not usually bothered by fragrance. I wasn't sure how much serum to use so I started with 5 drops. The serum is a bit sticky and I could not easily spread it across my face and neck with only 5 drops. Shaking the bottle seems to help it spread more easily but the instructions do not say to do that. Instead of using more product, I find that leaving my face just slightly damp after washing it makes the serum easier to apply. This is the approach I use now and it seems to work. I noticed a reduction in redness after a couple of uses but since I had started using a new retinol moisturizer at the same time, I wasn't sure if it was due to this serum or not. I stopped using the new moisturizer so that I can better gauge the results from using this product. The redness is still reduced using just this serum, but I will wait a month to see if this is still the case. I had some milia in the outside corner of my left eye and read that retinoids can help get rid of this. I made sure to carefully apply this serum to that particular area to see if it would work. After 5 days, I noticed what felt like a tiny piece of grit when applying this serum to where the milia was. Upon closer inspection, it was the milia now freed from my skin! That tiny white bump is now gone and this serum is the only thing I've used on that area so I give it credit for getting rid of the milia. A couple of breakouts I have are clearing up, but I can't say it's clearing up any more quickly than what I normally use for that. I'll have to wait and see if this helps prevent future breakouts or reduces them. So far, I like this serum and have noticed a reduction in redness and it got rid of some milia. I plan to continue to use this product for a longer time to see if I notice other benefits to my skin.

Transformed my congested, acne-prone, oily skin
UPDATE 6/26/20: I still think this is a good product but I've moved on to my new holy grail product for controlling acne and improving skin tone...tretinoin (Retin-A)! This product changed my life and if you're struggling with your skin I highly recommend looking into it. It is by prescription only. I started using this product 3 months ago, and am currently on my second bottle. This serum is by far my MOST essential, holy grail skincare product. I wish I'd found it years ago. I am 29, Indian, and have oily skin that is prone to comedogenic and hormonal acne. I also battled cystic acne for years in the past. This is a pretty long and detailed review but I want anyone thinking about buying this product to know how my extremely positive experience has been! Before I started using this, my face was very, very congested and broken out, with extreme texture issues all over. I would wake up every morning with tiny whiteheads and/or milia, even with washing my face or showering the night before. I had closed comedones all over my face, especially on my forehead and cheeks. I had been using nose pore strips on a weekly basis since high school. No amount of physical exfoliation (think St. Ives scrub) would make my skin totally smooth. Any new, active acne would take a week or longer to go away. With this serum, I get very little new acne, and mainly only around my period or if I've been lax with my skincare or diet. When I do get a pimple, it disappears within a couple of days. The whiteheads, milia, and closed comedones are no longer an issue at all. My forehead and nose are completely smooth and the texture of the rest of my face has vastly improved. I haven't used a single nose pore strip since I started using this serum in March. I had one particularly stubborn closed comedone in between my eyebrows that had been there for several months, if not a year or longer. After ONE USE of this product, the closed comedone came to the surface (along with many others). After three days, it was completely gone. Skin tone wise, my face has brightened considerably. The skin around my mouth has always been a bit darker and it's evened out quite a bit, although I still have a ways to go. Keep in mind if you're worried this product will "make you break out". Unless you have very sensitive skin or are allergic to any of the ingredients, it's likely not going to make you break out - the congestion under your skin is just coming to the surface. It's not a pretty sight but it's the first step to transforming your skin! I personally only had to deal with this phase for one or two days. If this is a concern of yours or your skin sounds similar to mine, then time your first application accordingly (i.e. on a Friday evening when you don't have to go out that weekend). I would also start with a light application rather than using an entire dropper on your first go. It's totally normal for the areas with thin skin (like around your nose) to be slightly red and irritated the next day. Go easy on those areas until your skin builds a tolerance to it. Start with a few drops and see how your skin handles it. I counted out how many drops I use for my entire face and neck, I use 16-20 (not a full dropper). Starting out I probably used 10-12 drops. Wearing sunscreen is really important while you're using this product because like many actives, it makes you photosensitive. Sun exposure will also worsen PIH, hyperpigmentation, and acne scars, so if these are a concern for you, you should be using sunscreen anyway! I find I get much, much better results if I apply the serum before bed as opposed to in the morning (but I actually started using it AM and PM once I knew my skin could handle it). It's lightly moisturizing which is great for my oily skin and gives my skin a nice glow. Overall I'm very, very happy with this product and I pray they never discontinue making this!

Results so fast!! (I also share what I do)
I’m about to give a lengthy but informative review because I love it so much and I love when people tell me what has worked for them! Acne has never been a problem for me however the past 2 years I’ve been getting a little bit of hormonal acne on my chin area and have searched high and low for products that will reduce these and also give my skin a vibrant complexion of and even glow. This is actually the first ‘serum’ I have ever used but I am hooked for life. It smells like I’m at a spa and leaves my skin feeling and looking absolutely radiant. It’s only been about a week since I’ve been using it but it’s part of my daily routine and I can see the changes in my skin looking so healthy! I don’t use it at night because I have other products I’ve been using but I’m just going to break down everything I use on a daily basis incase others are curious on what other products really work because I always appreciate when others do this: Morning 1. Wash face with either Neutrogena Acne Pink Grapefruit Foaming Scrub or Yes to Grapefruit Daily Face Scrub (I just really love the smell of grapefruit). I use these anytime I wash my face and really just alternate between them. 2. Apply the Eva Vitamin C serum and let dry for about 15 minutes 3. Apply Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion (my mom and grandmom have been using this for decades and it truly is amazing) 4. Apply Clinique All About the Eyes under my eyes just for an added boost for fine lines sometimes Evening/Night 1. I LOVE FACE MASKS. I’ve tried so many but I have officially found some I’m obsessed with. I do my clay masks and noise pore strips about 2x a week. My favorite mask right now is from Amazon called New York Biology Dead Sea Mud Mask and it seriously is so relaxing and magic on my face. I apply it with these magical silicone brushes from an Amazon brand called Opiqcey. Let it sit for about 20 minutes. It reeeeeally open up my pores and gets them ready to get tackled (also leaves my skin so soft). Side note, applying the mask after you take a hot shower is the best. 2. Immediately after the face mask I use the Biore Deep Cleansing Pore Strips from Amazon (they have face and nose ones), leave one for 15ish minutes and then you truly get to see all the gunk that’s on your face!! Recently started using this brand and am in awe. 3. Apply Curology (this is where you could use the Eva serum instead). I’ve been using it for about 4 months and I’ve only had 1-2 small chin acne breakouts so I’m sticking to my nightly routine. Also evens out my complexion so I seriously couldn’t recommend it enough (does purge your skin for the first 1-2 months so don’t be alarmed). 4. Apply Curology moisturizer (or any moisturizer) 5. Apply Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair under my eyes (this has reeeeeally reduced fine lines, sun damage and dark circles) Like I said, these are just the things that have worked for me and yes I use a lot right now but I find it super beneficial and relaxing!! Couldn’t recommend the Eva serum enough and I would recommend using it day and night!

Sadly not for me
Only after trying this serum did I find that mine is the type of skin whose hyperpigmentation worsens with salicylic acid :( So I discontinued the serum. The smell is a bit floral at first and then a herbal smell similar to tea tree oil comes through. But the other aspects were good - it was absorbed into the skin quickly, killed some types of bacteria and thinned down sebum in congested pores. It decreases oiliness and so makes the skin drier.

Routine I've developed through trial and error. I have very sensitive ehlers-danlos skin.
VERY STRONG. USE SPARINGLY. This product is amazing, but only if you use it the way your skin needs it! I burned my face with this multiple times before finally getting the hang of it. I resisted the urge to quit and spent a couple months figuring out what makes my sensitive combination skin happy. I have adult hormonal acne and hyperpigmentation, very pale, and I have ehlers-danlos so my skin is extremely reactive. If you're new to retinol, here's some tips: -Only apply retinol to the whole face 1 or 2 times a week -Only apply at night, never use retinol in the AM -Invest in a quality sunscreen, retinol increases UV sensitivity -Retinol products WILL make your skin PURGE when you first start using. This means any little underground blackheads and red dots will start to surface. DO. NOT. PICK. THEM. DO NOT USE EXTRACTION TOOLS. Trust me. -For bigger pimples, apply this as a spot treatment no more than once per evening. If you don't pick, they will clear up within a couple of days. -Do NOT combine this serum with other spot treatments or acne treatments like sulfur or benzoyl peroxide, or tea tree oil, etc. -Do NOT use with other cleansers or lotions with salicylic acid or retinol. This product is already a chemical exfoliant as it contains both retinol and salicylic acid. -Use water based lotions and sensitive skin cleansers while using this product. CeraVe is good, I like Burt's Bee's Sensitive Cotton Extract Cream Cleanser for washing and Burt's Bee's Sensitive Aloe water based lotion. Avoid products with fragrance and alcohol! For all over face and neck: I mix 2 drops with 2 pumps of the Burt's Bee's lotion (approved by the eczema foundation). This is called "buffering" and brings down the potency of retinol products. I buffer 1 or 2 times a week. When my hormonal acne flares up along my jawline, I put 1 drop in my hand and use my fingertip to very gently tap the product directly onto each pimple. I use this method once each night until the pimples are dried and scabbed & the inflammation is down. Then I cut back to once every other day or every 3 days until the scars fade. Do NOT pick the scabs! Just keep tapping the tiniest tiniest amount, the scabs will fall off on their own in just 2 or 3 days. My routine is this: 1) remove any makeup with makeup remover as needed. Wash 2 times with Burt's Bees cream cleanser. Pat dry. 2) apply Thayer's alcohol free facial toner. And let dry for about 5-10 minutes. I like the plain scent. It's extremely effective and soothing. Thayer's is pure witch hazel with aloe vera and glycerin. Make sure it's the alcohol free kind. 3) apply 2-3 drops of this serum as needed, whether it's the whole face, or spot treatment only. 4) Wait 20 or so minutes and finish with unscented water based lotion (if you aren't buffering with lotion already) As your skin purges and adjusts, resist the urge to scrub and exfoliate the dead skin/surfacing breakouts. If your face peels, be patient and gentle. Let the dry skin peel like a sunburn, and continue to apply lotion throughout the day as needed. If you absolutely must, use a soft wash cloth and lukewarm water to gently scrub. Rinse with cold water and apply fresh aloe vera or the Thayer's witch hazel + aloe toner immediately after. This product has made a notable difference in the texture of my skin, it has shrunk my pores, and faded my acne scars. I don't have many fine lines, but it cleared up the ones in my forehead. I don't use it near my eyes because it has tea tree oil. My hormonal acne clears up within days instead of lingering for a week or two. I hope this review helps other babies like me with angry + sensitive skin. Good luck! Don't forget sunscreen!

Great product
I have been using this for several years now. I have combination, acne prone skin and I feel like it has helped keep my skin clearer and heal and fade any breakout marks a little quicker.
