Milwaukee 1/2” Mid Torque Impact Wrench
This thing’s a beast for its size. The Milwaukee 2962-20 delivers serious torque (up to 1,000 ft-lbs for breakaway) without being bulky or heavy. It’s compact, super comfortable to hold, and works great for stuff like tire changes, suspension work, or general jobsite tasks. The 4-mode drive control is a nice touch — especially the bolt removal mode. Build quality? Solid. Typical Milwaukee — tough and dependable. The LED lighting is bright and well-placed, and swapping sockets is quick with the friction ring.

Great impact
This is one durable impact, I’ve beat on it parting out cars for a couple years and it keeps going The compact design lets you fit it in tighter spots. It has plenty of torque, I regularly remove 1 1/8” lug nuts on my dump truck without issues and it breaks them lose fast Will buy another when this one dies

AWESOME 👍👍
Much better than expected. GREAT VALUE for the price and had a higher torque than expected (No, I didn't snap off bolts, floor anchors, or wheel stud's😁) with the battery lasting longer than I expected.👍👍

Good torque
No malfunction. It's so good and so powerful. You don't need high torque, this medium torque can handle everything we use daily.

Milwaukee quality at a great price
Best price I could find by about $100.00 for the mid torque impact wrench. Lots of power to remove car lug nuts with ease.

Essential tool for midsized jobs
Excellent, heavy duty solid piece of kit. Haven't had a rusty bolt anywhere on the car that has given it an issue. Intrigued to see if it's the same story on a crankshaft bolt, will update when I get there. Lug nuts sometimes take 2, maybe 3 impacts max before they go, but they still go very easy. I suppose I still have envy for the 1600 ft/lb high torque, but so far I can't say I've met an application that needed it yet. I do like the feel and the weight of it. It honestly doesn't feel very big, and though it does carry a bit of weight, it's definitely in proportion to its capability. As far as battery life, changed out every suspension component on the car and did probably 50 lug nuts off and back on with normal midsized sedans, and only used 1 bar of battery. Using the regular m18 5mAh battery. So, this thing is a workhorse. Great purchase

Warrantee DOES work, was effortless when I needed it, will do lugs with the right sockets, read on.
Overall I'm pretty satisfied with the mid torque. It's weak for lugnuts IF you use a flip socket, if you use a short socket it works great, and with a long pattern it's still pretty good. The full size one is a beast (I own it and it will rip lugs off a semi) but was giving me tennis elbow from the weight of the thing which is shy I bought the mid torque, For the size this thing is STRONG, and the lights are nice. I do not recommend the milwaukee branded rubber protector, way overpriced, there is one with a skull on it from another company that is available here on amazon that fits great and keeps dirt out of it. I ran into an issue with mine late december 2022, bought it august 2021 so a little less than a year and a half in. My trigger would sometimes do nothing, and it felt like I didn't have much power but honestly at first I didn't think it had enough anyway. I went to the milwaukee site I already have my full size registered, and just had to screenshot the invoice from amazon as proof of purchase. Really the whole warrantee process was no problem at all, fill out the form online, send proof of purchase, wait a couple of hours and they approved it and sent me a shipping label. Dropped it at UPS or Fedex I forget which just before christmas and had it back a couple days after the New Year so considering the holidays etc I was please. They replaced the whole inside as far as I can tell, the rotor for low rpms and the "electronics assembly" for wear. I'm a professional auto technician and use this thing a LOT as you can imagine. Bottom line is that you can't go wrong. Ignore the guy who said the warranty doesn't work, unless you abuse your tool it will be covered so if you drop it or run over it expect to get nowhere, it's not the tools fault. Cost of the parts on the repair invoice were more than I paid for the tool to begin with, and I paid ZERO for the repair. It's a 5 year warranty. Use the right socket and you'll do lugs, and pretty much anything else is cake. I still need my full size from time to time when some ape torques the wheels to 400 or whatever but that is to be expected. Great tool and the company stands behind it, which was a relief as I never had to use their warranty service before and I have a lot of Milwaukee tools and the underhood lamp etc etc it works and thats it.
