This book is great if you are interested in the things you can do to support your baby's mental and physical development. There are some suggestions you may find too ambitous like building a crawling track around your own bed. Anyway I prefer having too much information rather than too little. You can then make up your mind what you use and how you can adapt things to your circumstances. If you use this as a workbook you will do at least six assessments with your child to find out what he/she can and cannot do yet. I think the book is brilliant if you want to know about the development of children within the first six years generally and how your own child fits into this; additionally it will have a lot suggestions how you can help your child on its way growing up. I highly recommend this book - there is nothing about it I did not like! Should be in every parents library I think.

I love this book so much I've purchased it twice. The first time was years ago, bought after reading some of Doman's other books, notably "How to teach your baby to read". This one includes information that isn't in the other books, like black and white posters for contrast, and other activities for baby that feel more "natural-life" than academic like the reading program, multiply your baby's intelligence, and physically superb programs. I loved it for my older children, and when we took a break and moved, the book got buried somewhere. Now that we have another baby, I knew I wanted it again, and when I couldn't find it, we purchased it again. I'm so glad I did, there were a lot of things I had forgotten! I find it interesting that while Doman's reading program (which worked for our kids!!) hasn't gained mainstream attraction, he was one of the first to spearhead encouraging black and white images of high contrast to help baby's eyesight develop faster. That's something we see everywhere now in baby products! But Doman was a pioneer in that field, and this book explains why we do that and how it works. After the book arrived, I found myself giving little quotes from the book as little inspirations for Facebook posts. I love Glenn and Janet Doman and I'm so grateful for the positive impact they've had on my life. Babies really can learn to read! And what a wonderful journey it has been, raising these children.

So so so useful... Being a doctor I can definitely say that the science behind the methods r very much acceptable.. . Their methods r working for more than 60 years n no doubt in it... Still I can't do certain exercises mentioned in the book But if u could do at least half of what he says u ll see a great achievements in ur child... My child is 9 months n can definitely see the methods working in her Visit iahp website for more info
