I tried this product for the first time last month. I was a little hesitant at first to use a non-clumping litter, but it was great! I was pleasantly surprised with how well this formula conceals odor. With the non-clumping formula, I thought the smell would just linger around but you couldn't smell a thing! I read comments about the dustiness of this item, but I did not have any major issues with it. At first when I poured it out of the bag it was a little dusty, but after that I didn't notice anything. I have two cats who are generally not happy with change but they adapted to the change of litter pretty quickly. And most importantly, Genius Litter gave me the peace of mind that my fur babies are healthy. I would recommend this litter, and get it again!

This stuff is awesome. I recommend even if you can only afford it every so often (, which we plan) We were able to discover One of our cats had an UTI by using this litter. (We do have 4 cats, so you need to watch which cats peed when they use it if you have multiple cats using multiple litter boxes) great product!

Clumping great, monitoring great, too dusty still

By far the best Crystal litter on the market, zero odor for a very long time plus you can check your cat’s urinary health. I have been in rescued for over e0 years and have rescued and fostered hundreds of cats, I wish this would have been available a long time ago, I probably would have been able to save more lives. The very best.

Pros: -The graphics on the bag are visually appealing. I like the way it looks and how it's very clear that this is not a typical litter brand. It's a litter that provides a dual purpose, and a very important one. -I love the concept. I think this would be especially appealing to a cat owner whose cat has a history of kidney failure and other related health issues. My childhood cat had renal failure and I wish a litter brand like this existed when we were monitoring and treating his renal failure. -This litter is more effective at controlling the odor of urine compared to my current litter brand. So far, it has lasted longer than my current brand and I have not had to replace it as soon as I would my current brand. -The bag is lightweight, easy to carry, and easy to store - and that's a huge positive. -I like that it's eco-friendly, and I think most consumers can appreciate a company that is eco-conscious. Neutral: -It took my girls a day or two to get acclimated to the texture. They are used to paper pellet litter, which has a different consistency and appearance. They were apprehensive to use the litter at first, but that would be the case if we switched to any other litter with a different consistency/texture. -After my girls got acclimated, one of them actually jumped inside and started playing around in it. This made me laugh. Cons: -This is a minor con, not a big one. I did find that there was more of a litter trail with this litter than my current brand. We currently use pellets, which are larger, so I'm not surprised by this. -I think the price point is a bit high for the average cat owner. I don't know if I would feel the need to buy this litter unless my cat had a history of renal failure/other related health issues. -I found it to be too dusty. When I poured the litter into their box, there was visible dust in the air and that was a bit of a concern. If it would be at all possible to reformulate this litter into bigger pellets, I think that would alleviate the dust issue.

*** UPDATE*** since my initial review. This liter DID in fact make my super healthy 2 year old cat sick as a dog!! It took me a few days to figure out why my cat got so violently sick out of no where; throwing up violently, wheezing and coughing. My cat is an exclusively indoor cat and rarely ever throws up. Suddenly it was the sickest I’ve ever seen a cat. But it wasn’t computing in my mind that it could be from the liter. After reviewing anything and everything in my household I started wondering about the liter. The day I threw it all away and replaced it with traditional liter, he started to recover and stopped throwing up! It was crazy! I felt awful! I reached out to the company for a refund but they never responded. For the health of your cat, DO NOT GET THIS LITTER. ———————- Highly trackable just less noticeable since it’s clear/white. Super dusty and gets in the air and I believe it’s making 1 of my cats sick. My cat has been throwing up like crazy since I started using this liter 24 hours ago so I’m thinking it’s breathing it in and making him sick or upsetting his stomach. I’ve analyzed everything else in the house and there are no changes else where (same food, same water, same life, no plants, no hair balls, no outside time, very healthy and young cat). So I’m highly suspicious of this liter after calling the vet. Too soon to tell but it’s very coincidental timing. Absorbs pee well but has never indicated a color other than yellow (“normal”) even though 1 cat is definitely sick now. Does nothing to hide poop smell whatsoever so I have to scoop after every poop. It’s nasty. I hate being negative but I was really hoping this would be good and it’s just not other than the color is better than gray litter. However after more monitoring of my now sick cat and more investigation I will update if it’s determined the litter made my cat so sick. (10 throw ups in 24 hours, same day I started using this liter for the 1st time.) ** pictures are of the liter as proof I tired it, the potty pads are to show how I was trying to cover my house to catch the vomiting and a picture of my very sick, unhappy cat.

Works just like pretty litter. Which I love but it can get costly. So I found this brave and my 2 cats took to it instantly. Use the bathroom as soon as I put it n there. Ave yes it turned yellow so it does the exact same things. 19.99v27.99.. No brainer..

So far giving 5 stars, the crystals were a greenish/blue color, so I'll be taking him to the vet and will update to let you all know if results match the litter. I should know before next week.

Estaba a precio aceptable la 1era vez que lo compre y la segunda vez que quize comprar, subieron el precio al doble y no vale la pena. Ahora uso pellets.

Product can be messy because the crystals stick to the cats’ feets and drop off on the floor but are easily vacuumed up. It’s also a little bit dusty but not bad. The best things about it are it is light weight and there is no smell. Much prefer it to clay litter.

Not true

I have tried Pretty litter & this Genius litter & I like Genius litter more & it is almost half the price. However, the Pretty Litter, bag was supposed to last 2 months, which I’d didn’t for me. The litter does still get scratched out of the litter it’s just not visible on the floor due to how fine the granulated are. The poop is easy to lift out & the odour is pretty non existent & there is no clumping! Woohoo

Works as they say, litter does change color , not as bright as picture , I could see yellow a color. Way less ordor then regular clay litter ! Felt it was a little pricey for the quantity.
