The steamer is a very large capacity compared to my other steamer options and I'm very happy with that. It's the largest steaming option I've found. It would be nice to be able to buy a second steamer and stack them but I can't find the steamer in stock anywhere. The quality of the steel on the steamer seems to be very good compared to other options I've seen. This is a buy-it-for-life item.

**Q: Why is it cheaper than smaller size?**
A: Suspect it’s a promo model sold in the UK.  Plus, we (customer) has to pay shipping cost.

**Q: Is the steamer insert stainless steel?**
A: I believe so. It has a rubber seal around it to keep the steam contained as much as possible

**Q: Is the steamer insert removable?**
A: Steamer is a removable insert. Hardly use it but I I use the Cocotte almost every day.

**Q: Where is this made?**
A: Big markings under the lid say Made in France. I think in Alsace or near there.
