If I were to make the largest shorts, t-shirt, and robe, how much fabric would I need? (in terms of yards preferably)

If you purchase fabric that’s 60” wide… you will need 5 5/8” of fabric.. you should be able to make shorts, T shirt, & Robe in an extra large.. I hope that answers your question.. Happy Sewing

New at sewing here. Could the pants be made high waisted easily?

Yes, they have plenty of space for that. Chances are you will have to shorten them. It is a great pattern to start out with. I have not done the top but many bottoms. If you are a woman with a D cup it will need to be adjusted I just found out that most patterns are a B cup. YouTube has some good videos for tissue fittings. For the top of pants I did 1/2 inch- pressed then did 1 1/2 - pressed did my seam 1 inch elastic Hope this helped.

How small is the XS? Looking to get one pattern for 8 youth through adult medium.

It is VERY easy to modify sizing and I’m sure you could make it work for an 8 year old. It definitely depends on the 8 year old, but they’d likely at least need the pant length shortened some.

Used this for the 1st time to make some pyjama trousers. Really really easy for beginners, as it’s only piece x2 you need to cut out. Descriptions lacking but it’s very obvious how to sew it. Used size M on the pattern as I usually am - maybe my fault I didn’t read the size guide? But came out massive! So be careful not to waste material over sizing your item, as I cut about half of it away getting them to size. Could’ve made 2 pairs with what I removed. But to know next time.
