Rough Country 3" Suspension Lift Kit with N3 Struts & N3 Rear Shocks for Ram 1500 4WD (2012-2018) - Silver Upper Control Arms

Everything in the kit seems very high quality. The ride is a little stiff, but that's expected for an 4x4 lift kit. Everything feels "tight" since the install-thats a good thing. It seems like it's going tk be very durable, but only time will tell. I highly recommend it. Install was easier than I expected, I did it all with 2 floor jacks, jack stands and almost all hand tools (ratchets, wrenches).

I'm pleased with the look of the truck. It lifts the front 3 inches and the rear 1 inch to level it out. It gave the truck better ground clearance and I was able to run 34 inch tires. Seems like I could still clear 35s with the right wheel offset. The kit came with everything needed at a decent price. It doesn't seem to ride any rougher than factory, and I drive a lot on the interstate as well. I couldn't speak about the install, as I had a shop install it. Overall, great value for the money! 👍🏻

The end result is that the truck looks awesome now. However, getting to that point took a large amount of time and some new parts (front strut assembly replacements) and specialty tools (go-thru socket set) to modify the strut assembly for the pre-load spacer that needs to be added to the strut assembly. My truck is only 5 years old, but due to the OEM quality of the RAM struts I was trying to modify...long story short, ultimately had to replace the front strut assembly units. I get the benefit of newer, better equipment up front, but the added cost and time to the project was unexpected. I would say that the new upper control arms are quite robust and a nice replacement to the OEM upper control arms that when removed seemed light and poorly made. All things considered and if I had planned on replacing the front strut assemblies, this was fairly easy to install (minus some poorly placed frame braces that blocked access to shock/control arms bolts for removal) and realistically should take you the 6 hours the kit implies. The ride didn't seem affected better or worse, even at highway speeds, so I would consider that a success! Bottom line, the quality is great for the price point, don't be scared of the reviews you hear from other people about Rough Country. Get a couple buddies and your tools and get to work. You'll love the end result!

You will not go wrong!

Don't waste your money on this kit unless you have no choice. It ride horrible especially when hitting bumbs. Not good for offroad that's for sure.

Item said it should take about 6 hours to do the install. I was able to do it in a little under 6 in my drive way. The fitment was spot on, and assembly was a breeze with the right tools. The only odd tools were a 21mm crow’s foot wrench annd an 15/16” impact socket. American trucks did a great “how too” video on YouTube for this kit.

I have to say severely disappointed in rough country I have never had such a bad experience with them this being my 4th rough country lift installed all myself with no issues other then this one. Almost every nut didn’t fit any of the bolts had to use all my own sense parts store was closed and had to get truck on the road to get back to work next day. Passenger side ball joint the nut had to cross thread to get it back on . The lift block on top of the strut only 2 bolts could tighten down 3rd bolt stripped. The rear struts don’t fit on the bolt so they wiggle and make loud noise the entire time you’re driving. I specifically bought this kit to avoid these issues if a cheap lift kit, I should have bought the 120 dollar eBay kit. I waited 2 months after install to write this review on the hopes I would feel better about my purchase. Have thought about returning truck to stock multiple times. Will contact rough country to see if they will try and make these issues correct.

Switched out from spacers and this is so nice. This lift puts the truck at a nice height and brings the ride quality back to, if not better than when it was new. The spacers were good for a little height, but they made the ride very stiff, this lift fixed that perfectly.

No to dislike

The vehicle is up and running, and everything is working fine. The cost of the product was worth it.

I have had to replace 3 axels since installing the lift. But the truck looks good

wish I orderd this a few years ago awesome upgrade truck handles and rides great no more clunking over big pot wholes or off roading don't wait well worth the upgrade and easy install on a hoist much easier!!!
