This brand of flaxmeal is different from others I've used. This golden flax is ground more finely than the others, which brings out its rich flavor. It blends more easily in baking and cooking, giving foods a richer texture and flavor. It is very effective as a breading/coating, and when mixed with coconut milk and coconut nectar. Delicious! It also doesn't hurt that it's nutritious, as well. Highly recommend.

I bake flourless spice bread, and this is my go-to for golden flax seed meal. Affordable and a better flavor than other brands I've tried. Are there better tasting options? Yes, but not at this price point, and it works well for my bread (and I'm very picky).

I keep ours in fridge. Great egg alternative for various recipes. Been using flax seed mill for years. I found this a very good product.

I use flax seed in lots of cooking. It's especially good in meatloaf and meatballs in place of crackers and it helps as a binding agent, so I can replace adding eggs to those kinds of recipes. I try to reduce carbs in all of my cooking to keep my weight down. Flax seeds contain close to 30% carbohydrates, but almost 100% of those carbohydrates just fiber. This kind of fiber isn't digestible in your body so they don't add to your carb consumption! Ground flax seed adds an excellent texture to foods like those two and makes the meat go a lot farther. I usually use at least 1 cup of flaxseed meal and 1 cup of vital wheat gluten to 2 lbs of hamburger or ground turkey, plus spices and 16 oz of pasta sauce and 1 cup of cheese...LOL, SORRY I'm not trying to give a recipe, but there is is...this makes about 60 or more meatballs...Anyway I love the taste of the entire mixture. I thought I invented it, but after I had it a few times, I discovered that many other people make meatloaf and meatballs in the same way. This flax seed has an excellent taste, smell, and has a nice golden color. I notice when I use in these recipes, I can barely taste it anyway, it just adds a decent texture that compliments the meat. Flax seed is VERY HIGH in omega 3 fatty acids so if you don't eat enough fish, this is an excellent source of Om3s! Also, I used to sometimes buy this as whole seed and grind it myself to save money, but I found this brand and it is by far the least expensive flax seed I have found to date! So, I will definitely purchase it again. I recommend it highly!
