'when i think back on the fearless album and all that you turned it into, a completely involuntary smile creeps across my face. this was the musical era in which so many inside jokes were created between us, so many hugs exchanged and hands touched, so many unbreakable bonds formed, so before i say anything else, let me just say that is was a real honor to get to be a teenager alongside you. and for those of you i've come to know more recently than 2008, i am ecstatic that i'll get to exPerience a bit of that feeling with you in the very near future. now that i can fully appreciate it in its whimsical, effervescent, chaotic entirety. fearless was an album full of magic and curiosity, the bliss and devastation of youth. it was the diaRy of the adventures and explorations of a teenage girl who was learning tiny lessons with every new crack in the facade of the faIrytale ending she'd been shown in the movies. i'm thrilled to tell you that my new version of fearless is done and will be with you soon. it's called fearless (taylor's version) and it includes 26 songs. A very good rendition - and Mr Perfectly Fine a masterpiece
Not having the first issue, I like this 2021 Taylors Version and huge value for money with so many songs -27. Easy listing all with very powerful words - or small stories, all with different moods. A stand out from the newer Vault songs has to be Mr Perfectly Fine - a real masterpiece, superbly sung. As a man, I can see where the girl comes from, younger males dont always think of others too deeply, especially when are teenagers - it is act first think after. Only later in life one realises "she" was actually Perfectly Fine and you were the nasty and wish you could turn the clock back. The CD sound is great too. If you haven't got the first issue, buy this if you have you will want the extra tracks. Thank you Taylor.

Clear production and strong vocals makes this superior to the original
The original Fearless came out when I was a teenager, so listening to this beautifully rerecorded new version was the ultimate nostalgia trip. What I love in particular about this new version is that the production is so crisp and clear - especially apparent in one of my favourite songs, "Change", which sounds a bit messy in comparison on the original album but sounds so much better here. Taylor's vocals are also stronger and more confident - she can properly belt now! I really enjoyed the extra vault tracks that were included on this album. "Mr Perfectly Fine" is super catchy and will likely appeal to anyone who picks "Forever & Always" as one of their favourite songs, and "You All Over Me" is a beautiful ballad. I found "Don't You" to be a little out of place due to the production, which makes it sound more like a 1989 reject than a Fearless one - it is very synthesised and not country at all. It's a sweet song but apparently the demo version is on the piano and I kind of wish we got to hear that version! Overall this is a real treat for Taylor Swift fans, especially those who have been with her since the beginning and get to relive the Fearless era once more!

Beautiful, touching, searingly honest - and expertly recreated from the original. Just a total WOW!
You either love Taylor Swift - or you don't. I could write pages on this but everything is subjective. The original was a tour de force - and the shared songs recreate it beautifully. The songs are identical - there is no attempt to revisit them. That was always the point. There is much at stake in this album - it is about an artist wrestling control back from unsympathetic management. Many artists will be looking on and hoping that this works.... Like many fans of Swift who own the original - when it comes to replacing that it will be with this - and the soon-to-be other Taylor versions of her entire opus. Taylor however does go further here in giving back with tracks from the vault that fit beautifully. Stand out for me is the duet with Keith Urban which sounds like it was drawn directly from Defying Gravity - by far my favourite Urban LP. It's fascinating to see how Swift has made this a genuine bridge to Urban - an artist that has always supported her and vice versa. Bottom line? I cannot recommend this highly enough. It's just beautiful - but also historic as many artists will depend on her being successful with this very faithful re-visit to her original work. The latter means that it deserves supporting widely - but ultimately it is the integrity and beauty of the music, and the love and attention clearly showered on this by Ms Swift, that makes it the extraordinary thing of wonder it surely is. Beyond highly recommended.

Great album
Glad Taylor is taking back control of her music. Great album, the new songs are a great addition too. But please for the love of all that is holy stop using Royal Mail for delivery, should have had this on release day, was sent out Tracked 24 Hour with Royal Mail and didn't arrive until 2 days later. Should have been a 5 star rating (the album is definitely worth it) but had to take a star off for using Royal Mail.

Taylor Swift Fearless
when Taylor Swift announced plans to re-record all of her first six albums, starting with 2008's Fearless, it seemed likely that she'd take the opportunity to rewrite history. After all, one of the best tracks on Fearless, the lilting Fifteen, is about going back in time to "tell yourself what you know now." But somehow she's resisted that temptation. Fearless (Taylor's Version) is an almost perfect replica of the original, right down to the giggle Swift lets slip in the middle of Hey Stephen. The new recordings are cleaner, perhaps. It's easier to pick out little details like Swift dampening the strings of her guitar on White Horse, or the rattle of the hi-hats on Forever And Always.

The woman is a genius.
I’m a 60 year old married man, and I have just discovered the genius of Taylor Swift. I don’t know if that is even allowed. I’m sure if I was a young girl at a Taylor Swift concert and someone like me showed up, I would think it was a bit odd. What can I say? The woman makes great music. I’ve listened to the original version of some of these songs and I can’t say that there’s a huge difference in most cases, and yes I do understand the reasons why the album was redone (along with Red and four more to follow) but I’m not sure how I would feel if I was 14 and was effectively being asked to buy the same album twice. Luckily there are extra tracks on this release, and the price has at least been kept to a decent level. I bought Red (Taylor’s Version) from her website and got hold of a signed copy. I haven’t told my children. Did I mention that I am 60?
