Exactly the watch that I wanted with the 20bar depth, good looks and solar powered. Basically, the same as the other Protreks north of $600 or even north of $1000. Very quick delivery too

Superb Watch - much more legible than others I've had of the same function type from Casio

Let me start with this. There is one thing I would improve on this watch. Watch strap! It is nice and somewhat comfortable, my wrist is in the middle of two links where I can not find the perfect fit. It's either too loose or too tight. Aside from that, this watch is perfect. I already dropped it from 3 feet to ceramic tile. Not even a scratch on it. Unlike g shock, I don't see any shock resist material but it sure handled it like nothing happened. Tough solar only took half a day on the window ledge too become High from medium battery level. Time is atomic perfect accurate. Backlight is amazingly bright. Watch face is ready to read. I added tempered glass watch face protector. Even though unidirectional bezel would've been better, bidirectional bezel is solid and won't turn unless you wanted it to. I work in marine environment and water, mud, and sun are three primary daily conditioning I have to deal with. Although it's not g shock mudman/mudmaster, it is excellent in water and occasional mud condition. Simply dip it in the clean water and shake it in there for couple minutes and all is clean. Buttons are big and robust even though it's not made with metal. Hard plastic is sufficient enough to handle some bumps and rare hard hits. Sensor is exposed plastic and not rubber protected like g shock, but it hasn't been damaged nor broken off and works great. I could've gotten the negative display model with anodized black bezel but I decided to go with this model because positive watch face is much easier to read when in a boat or near water /marine environment. As per my very first complaint about the strap, the watch strap needs some improvement. However other than that one minor complaint, I wholeheartedly recommend this watch. This recommendation is coming from G shock affectionate (also eco drive drive watch owner).

Another amazing Casio product. Never had a pathfinder before and wanted one, however the current available one being sold by 3rd party cost more than $400. Saw this one and picked it up. The watch is great on many aspects. Here are some pros and cons: 1. Relatively big watch but not too big and heavy. 2. Large display that is easy to read, even in very low light. The LED light that lights up display from left side is bright to show time in dark. 3. The ABC functions all watch very accurately. If not, you may have to calibrate it w/ 1 or more equipment; but once set, it's very accurate. 4. Solar charge works very quickly. On a bright day, under sun in less than 2 hours I got full charge (Shown as "H"). 5. Watch goes to sleep mode when in a dark place for too long, saving battery power. It has two steps. All are in the manual. 6. Time is very accurate due to atomic time keeping. Cons: 1. The belt. Not sure whose idea it was but the end segment of the belt with grooves in it has a protruding part, a locking looper type part. This part prevents the belt from sliding out from the buckle. However once you put your wrist on, taking it off becomes a choir as you have to struggle with this piece to slider under the buckle. To make matter worse, the buckle has a protruding rectangular hole as well where this looper gets stuck. This is very frustrating when you want to just take the belt off but instead spend more time struggling with this tiny piece. 2. The big display could show a lot more info but does not. This is a waste of space. Pressing the E button (Left top) will switch few info (baro, date, day) but nothing else. Wish it could show more. Just look at the picture and you will see that the left side of "seconds" there is room for other info to be shown. Perhaps the world time? But it does not. So to watch WT, you have to press the D (Left bottom) button several times. Other than that, it's perfect. 3. As far as I know from the manual, you can't quick swap Home time with World Time. This means you have to manually set your time for both. This is an issue for those who likes to travel a lot. The Edifice series has an easy way to do this. This one doesn't. I suggest you get a new belt as the belt it comes with is good but may cause some annoyances. As for the rest, considering the sensors and updated hardware you get in a watch, this is way too good for not having a 5 star. Can't really be that picky about the smaller details but they are there for you, if you are looking for specific style/preference. Overall an amazing product. Get it if you want a rugged, hard body, tough watch.
