Review: Just what I wanted! - This item was purchased as a gift, review by recipient: This was to replace a wall clock that was very loud to the point of disturbing my sleep (as bed nearby). Primarily I wanted a quiet clock that wouldn’t disturb me. This clock is silent! I put my ear up to it, not a peep! The date clock element has also proved very useful. Be aware that the date display and analogue clock are separate elements which require separate batteries (1xAA and 1xAAA respectively). I frequently check the date (chiefly for marking down when opened foods etc.) via this clock. I’d prefer to set it to show day, month, in that order but can’t have everything. Also shows the day (e.g. Tues) and temperature. All in all, a great product! Does exactly what I was after 😊

A: Please press and hold the "DOWN” button for almost 6 seconds, then the order of month and date will be automatically switched. The LCD will display date in uk format (dd/mm)

**Q: does it allow for different length of month days**
A: Yes, the digital screen shows the month, date, the day of the week and temperature clearly.

**Q: How do you set the time? Can you set it manually, or does it pick up a signal automatically?**
A: You set the time manually. The clock has 2 settings, one for the analogue clock and one for the digital and they both have their own independent battery. The digital clock doesn't display a digital time but you set the digital time so that the digital display, shows the current date accurately and also the temperature.

**Q: Is it possible for the display to show time as default instead of the date?**
A: The digital time cannot always stay on the display. It can stay 5 seconds.
