Question 1

I am like many of you that are long time users of the lavender fragrance. The recent horrible reviews. Did Airwick fix the fragrance??

Unfortunately, no.  I purchased a set of 5 in April 2017 and threw them all in the trash.  Why on earth did the manufacturer get the "hair-braned" idea to change a good thing?  Naturally, if they did in fact revert back to the old formula, they are going to deplete the new formula first.  The new fragrance caused me to have a headache.  The old formula was fantastic, soft, fresh. I also used the spray refills in the same fragrance.  I hope they did go back to the old formula but will believe it when I smell it.  All the others in the marketplace are too overpowering for me.

Are there any phenols in these? I worry for my small sized pets.

Small animals like rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs, rats, gerbils and birds, have very sensitive respiratory systems. This means many oils - eucalyptus for one - can cause infections and even death. Candles are just as bad. The package says to keep in a well-ventilated room. Now worried about myself! Animal testing for this product is unknown. Safer alternatives: air freshener cones, Damprid hangers which come in Lavender, a discrete bowl of orange or lemon peel, spices, baking soda, sachet mixtures (Bed Bath Beyond closet section), scented trash bags, etc...

Spray fresheners are very toxic to both humans and animals. Continuous release of essential oils into the air isn't much better. Ewg.org has rated this product a D on the basis of some concern for skin irritations, asthma, and causing allergies.  To me, it smells like cheap men's cologne, not lavender or chamomile which I use regularly. I purchased this product at a store and am returning it.

Before I purchase this, can someone confirm this is the same scent from last year? I loved it and only want to purchase if it is the same.

Yes it is. Sams club has 6 + a warmer for the same $9.xx price tag. $1.66 per bottle essentially and you get a warmer.
