This PopMount 2 air vent holder is a brilliant little solution. It’s simple, but it solves a really annoying problem - no more removing the PopSocket every time I want to mount my phone in the car. Holds real nice except it's not a "locking" holder, it's more of a cupping hold. So if you drive over any larger bumps your phone may come loose. Still a solid holder for quick and easy use.

I was skeptical about this mount. My girlfriend has a pop socket on her phone, and I liked it for various reasons. So I bought one. When I did, however, my phone wouldn't sit in my normal phone car mount due to the pop socket not being magnetic. I bought this in the hopes of it being a solution as I drive frequently and my sense of direction is shocking (but improving!). I installed this and my phone hardly moved during the entire trip. I have a Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, so the thing is the modern equivalent of an old house brick Nokia, and it holds that phone in place really well. I only have to adjust it when I take it out because I'm a bit boisterous with it. Small thing, but you also don't need to 'pop' your popsocket before putting it in. This does it for you. If you have a pop socket, this is great.

It works!

It just slides off and the weight of your phone pulls it down. Everytime I turn a corner my phone pulls it off and it ends up on the floor. Could be dangerous if it ended up under a brake.

This keeps falling off the air vents (previous phone holders have been fine). Also, it holds the phone at a downwards angle - the rotation between vertical and horizontal is fine, bit whichever orientation you choose, the screen is tilted towards the floor. Do I just have weird car vents? Is my popsocket positioned unusually on the phone to make it do this? I don't know but I do know that this tiny, expensive phone holder does not at all seem worth it .

Great if you have a pop socket on your phone, I have an otter box phone case with a pop socket built in and it fits great, the weight of my phone does drag down the air vents but I make sure that air vent is not in use so as not to damage my phone with the heat or the cold from the air con anyway and it doesn’t alter the angle of the phone too much. It is expensive and that’s why I’ve put off buying it for so long but it’s the only phone holder I’ve found that works with a pop socket so ultimately I’m glad I have it now.
