I want to use it for collage.** A: Soft Gel is a little thinner than the Regular Gel. Both function in the same way, and make an excellent, archival adhesive. Soft Gel is just a little easier to manipulate with a brush. **Q: Does anyone know if you can use alcohol based markers on this when it dries? I've never worked with any type of mediums.** A: I've only used watercolor on it myself but my guess would be yes. The surface is hard. **Q: How do you use this product and what is the purpose?** A: I haven't use as of this date...I purchased on the recommendation of an on line class I was taking on scrape booking....to use with water colors when coloring a page/paper...seems it was to give the paint texture, **Q: Can this be used as a final varnish?** A: You’d be better off using Dorlands wax on watercolor or nothing if it’s going under glass or plexiglass. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ amazing value *by on Reviewed in Australia 26 April 2026* fantastic value & such prompt delivery ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Just perfect thank you *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 28 May 2024* Just perfect thank you ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Top quality *by on Reviewed in the United States 2 March 2026* Reliable gel. ## Frequently Bought Together - Golden Soft Matte Gel Medium-8 ounce - Liquitex BASICS Gesso Surface Prep Medium, 473ml (16-oz) Bottle, White - Liquitex Professional Matte Medium, 237ml (8-oz) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.kr/products/281946395-soft-matte-gel-medium-8-ounce](https://www.desertcart.kr/products/281946395-soft-matte-gel-medium-8-ounce) --- *Product available on Desertcart South Korea* *Store origin: KR* *Last updated: 2026-10-29*
