Very sturdy ladder
This was a replacement ladder in my garage. The old one was all wood that moved when you stood on it, and the springs were coming off. The installation instructions were good. The main challenge was that the old opening was not quite square. The ladder is much sturdier that the old one, so it builds confidence when hauling stuff up and down from the attic. The only drawback was the large screws for attaching the ladder frame to the garage rafters. They were cheap metal that stripped out the heads easily. I replaced them with long deck screws that were much stronger. The gas strut instead of springs for holding the door closed is very nice. The ladder also arrived early... Thanks Amazon!

Louisville Ladder
We’ve been living in our house for over 20 years, why I hadn’t decided (probably because I have 6+ ladders) to do this earlier baffles me. Anyway it is in, and operable. Load capacity of over 300#, heavy duty aluminum stairs, but not heavy. It feels planted when going up or down. This was installed in our garage, the slope of the floor was not an issue. There is enough adjustment in the last rung to about get it perfect-planted feet and no twisting. It has a small hand rail for safety. A quality product and worth every dollar. Cheaper than a ER visit. I hope this helps.

A little off
Package arrived damaged from FedEx. Took about five days. Corner of box was all gouge out exposing the wood corner. No damage to corner but one of side boards of frame was warped and bowed quite badly. Made it difficult to install. Had to use lots of shims and extra screws of my own and I had to trim one of the wooden bump stops in order for the stairs to retract all the way. Overall though, a decent product. Sturdy and decent looking. Better quality control is recommended to the manufacturer and kindler shipping by FedEx is in order. I see lots of reviews of damaged boxes and damaged wood. Maybe the manufacturer could do better at more secure packaging in the event FedEx can’t get their act together. Installed by myself. Wasn’t overly difficult if you can lift 50lbs above your head.

Great value for money
Great price for this ladder that was easily installed where my old wooden ladder finally broke down. This ladder is perfect and sturdy. Well made, with great instructions and all you need for the install, except if you don't have a bunch of wood screws like I do. I don't know how my fat butt made it up and down the old wooden ladder for years without me falling thru the ladder rungs. This aluminum is perfect. Well fitting and easy to install-it just feels like a quality, sturdy product.

Replaced a heavy wood ladder with this light ladder
I used to have a heavy wood ladder from my garage to a storage area 10 feet above the garage floor. Opening and closing the old ladder was a real chore, partly because you have to reach so high to the ladder, but also because the wooden ladder was so heavy. So I decided to replace the old wooden ladder with this ladder. Unfortunately, I had to hire 2 handymen to do it because I couldn't do it myself and they don't allow you to help them due to liability. But once it was done, this ladder is much better. When you open the ladder it stays open, and does not try to close due to a spring like the old ladder. Then, unfolding the aluminum ladder is so much easier than unfolding the old wooden ladder. The same goes for folding it back and closing it up. Now my wife doesn't always have to ask me to do it because she can do it herself.

SO Nice!!
sturdy ladder, fairly easy install, Incredibly convenient. I used to just have a hole with a board over it and decided to install this and sheet the bottom of the trusses in my attic for storage space. getting up in the attic is so easy now.

Excellent quality and easy installation.
Installed this in my garage for access above. The ladder was delivered quickly and in good shape. The box it came in looked like it had just been removed from a shelf. I took the time to review the included instructions and watched a few videos too just to be safe. The process is straight forward and the installation was a success. The quality and workmanship exceeded my expectations and I can recommend this product without hesitation.

Great Product in Need of Package Engineering
What an excellent product! Exactly as described easy to install, everything is included, very stable, very sturdy and durable! Love the product. I gave the rating a 3 but it should be a 5 because of the terrible packaging. The packaging is a a cardboard box that hugs the product pretty tightly. When it arrived it appeared it had had a fairly rough transit by the time I received it. The box had two or three holes in it, the ceiling facing piece had some cracks, and one of the gas struts had come out of its socket. Ugh! I definitely didn't want to send it back because I waited several weeks for this one. So, I decided to accept the cracked board, it isn't all that bad, see pics. However, the gas strut was a whole different matter. These are not user serviceable in any way and I know I shouldn't have tried compressing it but I did. I spent some time Googling and decided to wrap the strut in a ratchet strap and operate the ratchet in order to compress it. I was pretty leery about this but it worked like a champ. This set back my install a couple hours, a couple nerve wracking hours. The point of that story is that none of these problems would have happened with better packaging. So, hopefully the manufacturer sees this and adds a bit of padding.
