Soaking helps
After soaking it in water for awhile , it was very easy to unwind. it kept a nice curl for the wedding arch we were decorating.

These do not straighten out. They are curled up. They will open up a bit, but will definitely keep their swirl.
These are great! They have their own curve, and I probably only pulled this off because my tree is not real. But these were so fun to work with and I love the finished look of my tree.
