Absolutely not. This is a honing stone flattener not a honing stone.

How do i keep my flattening stone flat. what grits do i use on each side??

Just using it re-flattens its surface each time. There will never be a time to flatten the flattening stone. Use course/mediums (less than ~600) on the course side and all fines (more than ~600) on the fine side

This flattening stone is flat and did a great job flattening an old sharpening stone I had laying around for years. It’s worth the price.

I would ask the seller to be sure but I think you can by using the fine side ok
