I am quite satisfied with the clarity and bass response. After I listen on speakers I verify with the headphones. Different kind of work / Different target of audio / sound. Absolutely not comparable. those are excellent brands but they are designed for different purposes. **Q: How do they sound through a laptop's 3.5mm jack without a headphone amp?i listen to classical and jazz music.** A: Contra the first answer in this thread, you don't need to buy an adaptor to plug these headphones into a laptop. You just need to unscrew the the 1/4" connector which will reveal a 3.5mm connector underneath. But it isn't exactly obvious at first. They should make it clearer in the listing. **Q: Are these good for binaural beats and frequency therapy?** A: They will get you by, but don't expect to do any High-End Mixing and Mastering, these offer a Frequency Range of about 18Hz to 22KHz, Realistically you need to get a wider range of sound like 15Hz to 22KHz for beat making and mastering.
