The build quality of this connector is superb! However, it is a heavy connector. If you plan to use this with a heavy cable, it will need to be supported to maintain a tight connection.

I ended up returning the ones I bought as I found them to be 'creaky' when manipulated as the plastic they are made from is hard with no flexibility.

Nice large holes for big wires, looks a little strange with the facets (angles) but I don't need to look at them (hidden under cabinet) Not especially "high end", but they get the job done. Fits well in the socket.

Loved the quality of the connector

I purchased ten of these plugs, five male and five female, to build some cables. My initial impression was very favorable in all aspects. However I failed to test fit the plugs and after finishing the first cable I tried to plug it in and the female side was only going in about 1/8" of an inch. I then took another female plug from its package and test fit it, pictured, and the same. I pushed very hard almost to the point of breaking the receptacle inside my CD transport and they wouldn't go in. I didn't want to open the other three so went ahead and returned the four I had not used. I had to use a small screwdriver to spread open the contacts, three of them, on the female plug from the cable I had built so that I could use it. At the end of the day I made it work but don't think spreading contacts is something needed to get a brand new plug to work. Very disappointing because I really, really like these plugs. They seemed to be well built and look great but the issue with the contacts on the female plugs was a deal breaker for me. I had zero issues with the male plug.

Update: the seller reached out and apologized for screw coding error and refunded the cost of the unit acknowledging the mistake. This implies they’re accountable when things go wrong and that they value your business & are diligent/urgent in their response and duty to customer support. This unit was color coded incorrectly. The black screw was in the ground position. The green screw was in the neutral position. The plain brass screw was in live position. So the neutral and live oreintation on the color coded screws were reversed. I switched the coded screws to the proper locations and wired it up to the correct location (ground, neutral, live)…and tested with a meter. One could argue the color codes of the screws don’t matter as long as you connect the ground, live, neutral wires up correctly but I think the screws should be in the correct locations upon receipt.

Decided to give them a try (Gold&Silver plated versions) after been using Wattgates/Marinco and Furutech. Quality is decent but no where near the Furutech as can be expected considering the cost. All these other plugs are much easier to terminate. Like the video shows buy an electric/battery powered screw driver to remove the screws. Many. many turns. The video also shows the power cord wires are soldered at the ends to prevent stray strands from not getting completely clamped down. (Try to the clamp down on bare strands and not the soldered portion of the wire if you are very precise.) This is very important. One my two plugs neither had the correct color of the neutral and ground screw. Hot is Gold, Silver is neutral and ground is green. (Mine had a greenish color on the neutral and black on the ground!?) If your not careful...the back of the plug did however have the correct markings where the wires should go but the screw colors were not correct IMO.) As another reviewer stated, plugs are very tight going into the male chassis IEC. If you're not careful, you will not insert them fully. (Never had this issue with any other IEC connector I've ever used be it any pre-made cord or one that I made myself.) OVERALL, a decent plug which most importantly, sounds very good. I think they are better than the entry level Wattgates overall sound quality wise. Wonder how the higher end Viborg's are? But now they are in other price category competing w/other high end manufacturers. Hope this helps w/your decision...Go ahead and them a try, but have patience and be careful w/assembly.

Very transparent but needs a lot of burn-in to get to it's full potential. But even half-way through, it's impressive.

bon connecteur mais un peut trop difficile a inserer dans la prise iec male.

Good product, but apparently someone else returned and the seller did not check if all the parts are in order. I am missing parts the clamp that secure the cable.
