Review: Great for fun toy photography! - Worked great for my needs. The 'string' is of a thin silver bendable wire, as the reel and rod is of a flexible plastic. The fish, I believe is made of resin. Not recommended for small children who still put things in their mouth. This rod & reel plus a fish is great for Barbie sized dolls... and Dinosaurs lol. They ate fish too, after all 😁🎣

**Q: How big is the fish?**
A: I’m not sure of the exact size. Maybe an inch. I bought this for my grandsons elf on the shelf. The pole and the fish were the appropriate size for elf to fish with.

**Q: How long is this?**
A: Confused my earlier reply w/ another order.  This item is about 6" long.  Is holding up despite being played with by a three year old.

**Q: They claim this pole is 9.5" long. Is this accurate.?? I need this for a little statue I have sitting at my pond.**
A: yes, it is accurate... tip to tip.  The fish is maybe 3.5"

**Q: does the reel function?**
A: Well, I gave this away as part of a gift some time ago, so I'm not sure. But I don't believe it did.
