Paul being Paul . Always great . Great tips from the master
Simple , easy to implement tricks that the author has developed over his many years as a leading and respected authority in audio. My simple system improved significantly, and I didn’t consider myself a complete ignorant before buying the book . It is worth every cent . Please buy the CD as well or else the book loses a lot of its impact

STEREO: MUSICALLY: STILL VERY STRONG AFTER ALL THESE EARS! (without the "Y")
Interesting book by Paul, who has transformed from his California humble beginnings, and now residing in Colorado, but does not give much due credit in this book to the real East Coast industry pioneers who made this Electronics Audio and Stereo industry grow and accessible to the masses: Fisher, Marantz, Bose, Harman, AR, etc. - Paul is now a comfortable audio guru in Colorado with his PS Audio company, but in the "high end financial spectrum" of the industry, not accessible to many in order to convert them to the best stereo world of sound. Clearly, the consumer electronics industry has changed in the last 70 years, as well as the musical listening habits. This book can help educate the new listeners and help them expand their musical home environment, as Paul has taken the time and effort to provide a well thought out book, as well as his constant educational chats in social media. In summary my friends, it is worthwhile reading!

Great for the Beginner
I am a "wanna be" audiophile. I have spent a year and a half buying equipment and gleaning audio nuggets from the internet. I simply could not hear the quality sound that reviewers described for the equipment I bought. I have a pretty basic system. After a few hours with this book and downloaded test music, I finally got my sound stage. I spent four hours listening to music that day and three hours the next. This was achieved with just the basic set up chapters.I see a lot of negative reviews. The fault might be in the title. If an audiophile knows how to set up a room and equipment, then they will be disappointed with the content. If you are a beginner trying to find that next level of sound, this book is indispensable.

Great Reference Audio Book
This book is full of info I have never heard. I am just getting back into vinyl. U must pair it with the PS Audio reference CD or audio download to get the most out of it. I am sure Paul McGowan covers some of this info on his “Ask Paul” segments on You Tube. But the book and CD are great as a reference. Also for a fun read or listen check out Paul’s memoir. 99% True. How he’s not in Leavenworth is a mystery? But it is a good read!

Good info, weird format
There's lot of good info in this book. The problem I have with it is that you pay quite a bit of money for a large book that you think is going to be filled to the brim with useful stuff, but the format is weird. Large printing and huge margins. Waste of space. This book should have been half the size and maybe 2/3 the cost.

Paul Rocks!
Good for anyone interested in high fidelity music, whether a novice or a seasoned listener. I can hardly wait to read the entire series.

EasyRead with useful information
This is a book you can read in one setting. But it’s made to be used as you grow or change your 2 channel stereo system. Simple, practical and effective guidance to choosing, purchasing and setting up your listening space. I will refer back to this for years to come.

Print is completely readable.
Ordered my copy January 14. Recieved in 8 days , to New Zealand. Let me assure readers the printing was perfect and easily read. Printing issues alluded to in other reviews were not the case with my copy. This guide is perfect for beginners and those who have a good grasp of audiophonica. Arm chair "experts" may be disappointed .
