Since the grit of etched glass is measured differently than paper emery boards, if compare to paper ones, it's probably close to a 200 fine grit. **Q: Cleaning? The description states: easy to clean, but no instructions were included telling you how to clean them.** A: You can clean them with soap, or hydrogen peroxide if you’re concerned with bacteria. I think the main point is they’re cleanable, which other Emory boards are not. Basically they’re the same as washing dishes. **Q: Can you clean under your nails with this?** A: You could, but I wouldn't prefer to. The glass tip is shaped like you could, but it's too rough (?). If you clean under your nails, you'll likely have to refile your nails again.
