I wanted a comprehensive guide that would cover all the parrot genera and species with pictures and habitat descriptions. The only negative is that most all of the pictures are drawings rather than photographs!

Wonderful book, highly recommend.

Lots of species information, but it’s sad that the fictional account of how the Red-crowned Amazon appeared in the Texas Rio Grande Valley is believed by some and that they are actually encouraging its un-natural reproduction, especially considering that South Texas is so important agriculturally. Truly and massively irresponsible. USFWS should step in and control the situation!!
