I picked this up to use with my HP Gen 8 server rack, and it works really well so far. The rack has a male slim sata connector that is originally supposed to be used for an optical disk drive, but this adaptor will allow you to hook up any kind of sata device. In my case, I'm using a PCIE to NVME + SATA M.2 card, so I only needed the data portion of this adaptor since the PCIE slot provides all the power needed for the drives. It seems pretty sturdy, but if youre going to use this in something that will be jostled around I probably wouldn't use it because it's likely to break something if it gets knocked or pushed too hard. On the plus side, this will be cleaner than using a cable style adaptor because it doesn't require any extra cable management.
