Its patented radial surface traps dirt and grit at the bottom of the bucket, preventing contaminants from reattaching to your wash mitt or sponge. The included washboard enhances grit removal with no flat surfaces for dirt to cling to, ensuring your wash water stays cleaner longer and your vehicle’s finish remains flawless. Perfect for professional detailers and enthusiasts aiming for a scratch-free shine. ## Description Comes with (1) Red Grit Guard Insert and (1) Black Grit Guard Washboard. The Grit Guard Insert (Red) is an wash insert that fits 12 inch diameter buckets to keep particles, grime, and particulates off your sponge or mitt while washing. Designed with a raised radial surface that fits in the bottom of most 3-5 gallon buckets. Works to extract grit from your wash mitt or sponge when dragged across the Grit Guard surface. The dirt then settles on the bottom of the bucket, away from your wash mitt or sponge, keeping your water clean. The four quadrants at the base of the Grit Guard calm the wash water and hold the grid above the bottom of the bucket, so dirt falls to the bottom and stays there. You'll be amazed at how much dirt aculates in the bottom of your wash bucket! Dimensions: 2-1/2" x 10-3/8". The Grit Guard Washboard (Black) works in conjunction with the Grit Guard Insert to separate grit from your wash mitt. The Grit Guard Washboard has no flat surfaces for dirt and grit to collect, like the Grit Guard Insert extracts contaminants from your cleaning tools. Rub the cleaning tool in a downward stoke anst the Washboard to extract. All harmful contaminants settle at the bottom of the bucket. Seem very sturdy. Absolutely no complaint ! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Tallador para cubeta *by S***. on 20 October 2018* Ideal para tallar las microfibras o franelas ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ More useful than I realized *by M***L on 9 May 2023* I researched best techniques for washing cars to avoid inadvertently scratching the finish, and this product was highly recommended. I didn’t appreciate how easily bits of hard contaminants can get caught up in the cleaning cloths but merely wishing the cloth in a wash or rinse bucket. This product, submerged in rinse water and used like a washboard, allows hard gritty particles to fall through the grates instead of being caught up in the microfiber cleaning cloths. Simple and inexpensive, but very effective! This particular model is well made and the seller filled the order very quickly. Bravo. ## Frequently Bought Together - The Original Grit Guard Bucket Insert with Washboard Combo | Removes Dirt from Wash Mitt for Detailing | Car Wash Bucket Insert & Washboard | Black/Red - Meguiar's Gold Class Car Wash - Get Professional Results in a Foam Cannon or as a Bucket Wash - Get a Clean and Glossy Finish That's Safe for All Paint Types - 64 Oz - Chemical Guys MIC49302 Chenille Premium Scratch-Free Microfiber Wash Mitt, Lime Green, 9.6" x 2.3" x 7" (2 Pack) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.kr/products/287983130-grit-guard-the-original-grit-guard-insert-with-washboard-combo](https://www.desertcart.kr/products/287983130-grit-guard-the-original-grit-guard-insert-with-washboard-combo) --- *Product available on Desertcart South Korea* *Store origin: KR* *Last updated: 2026-10-08*
