Very nice product for the price. With holds the river and the kids very well. Had them mounted for two years now and just boat four more for the new kayaks. Highly recommend for all kayaks. Just need a drill and drill bits and screw driver to install.

The handle was extremely easy to install and is very convenient to hold my paddle whenever carrying the kayak or holding it from potentially drifting on the open water when taking pictures/etc. Great accessory!

I have a Mad River Canoe from a decade ago and I had to drill out the body of the canoe to make these fit. Fits our paddles fine and really makes it nice to be able to click the paddles into place and not worry about them. A good choice for our needs. No complaint or regrets.

A grommet failed during installation. I sent Pelican a support request and never heard back from them.

Very easy to install. They call for a 1/2" drill yet I used one size smaller and it was a nice tight fit. What I don't like is the exposed bolts inside. Not that you'd likely rub up against these but you might if you're lifting your Kayak. I'll be picking up rubber caps to cover these. You could also use small rubber tube or shrink tubes use for electrical. Over all nice sturdy holder. This is my second one, my first is still holding well for several years now.

Work great with pelican paddles. Screwed them to the side and they hold paddles while fishing. Used some crazy glue to make sure they were water tight. Worked well.

I could not find any pictures of Pelican Argo kayaks with the paddle clip installed and there is no recommended location shown in the instructions. I wanted the clip to be within usable reach but could not interfere with my paddling and after some trial and error I chose to put it on the right side, towards the front of the cockpit. Although the paddle is not completely parallel with the boat when it is clipped in, it is nice and secure and I would have no issues carrying the kayak while the paddle is attached. Personally, I really only need the clip when I am launching the boat and when I am taking pictures and I need to secure the paddle to free up my hands. I could have gone with cheaper generic clips but I decided to go with Pelican's kayak clip just because it is designed for their kayaks and I hoped the quality was much better for the slightly higher price. The paddle clip comes with the hardware for track mounting (if you already have tracks) but I opted to use the rubber well nuts, so I had to drill my own holes directly into the hull which is a bit nerve racking. I used painters tape on the hull to mark the position of the clips and I used a smaller bit to make the pilot holes, followed by a 5mm bit to enlarge them. It was tight but I was able to screw the bolt through the hole for a very snug fit. The instructions say to use a 1/2" bit which seems a bit excessive. The end result is a very secure clip that should last the life of the kayak. It is a little bit pricier than some of the other clips but I'm hoping that translates to a stronger clip and that I only will have to do this once. I will be testing this for the rest of the summer and if the installation location on the hull seems correct, I will order and install another one the exact same way on my 2nd kayak.
