Unique and vibrant colors
I have been dying my hair for 30+ years, starting with manic panic I have tried Artic Fox, Punky Color, Special Effects, Pravana Chromasilk (OG), and a host of other random Brands. Yet to try Pulp Riot and good dye young. That all being said, my review is such. This brand reminds me a lot of original formula Manic Panic. Deep and Rich colors and heavy on the color bleed. I find the aquamarine color bleed the worst so far, no problems with the Amethyst myself. My hair is soft and manageable after using this, the smell is quite mild and nice as well. I find the color holds best when used immediately after lightening while your hair follicles are still a bit more receptive to color. My color strand test immediately after lightening did not bleed as much and stayed very well for the greens and blues with only 10m development time. The pinks did not hold as well with this amount of time. I found the formula a dream to work with. Just the right consistency to go on and spread easily to just where I wanted it for this look. Blending the colors was different the hues are not mixed the way many others and if you mix amethyst and red, you will not get a pretty purple. Saphire and purple creates an amazing royal Blurple. The greens and blues on this line are unlike any I have used before, I could mix the colors they give us but rarely did I find these deep hues quite this way, the unique color profile makes buying the emerald, aquamarine and Saphire worth it alone. I would even say the emerald is the perfect forest green. It is truly stunning and I honestly forgot to put it in my hair and was heartbroken because it is so beautiful and rich. The red is also a perfect red IMO, a wonderful deep and vibrant red, though I didn’t use it in this style. The yellow, orange and light green in my photo are IroIro as my yellow funshine bear did not arrive in time. For the reviews that state this gets everywhere, this is much like any deep pigment dye I have used and, like most conditioning colors, it will adhere better to less than healthy hair. So I highly recommend buying a color bowl kit and gloves and rinsing your hair in a shower that won’t stain. Every dye I have used stains my shower to some degree and if you want it to last longer, bleach your hair. I will absolutely use this dye again, it is incredibly rich and vibrant and makes my hair wonderfully soft. I cannot speak to how long the color bleed will last but if it is pervasive that is a definite deal breaker for most, it will stain your everything and sometimes your hands and neck with bad enough bleed. Still 5 stars because it is one of the best dyes I have used and many brands have one or two colors that bleed. If anyone at INH reads this, please make an orange color :). Update: the color bleed ceased and the color is now simply gorgeous with no ill effects. After first wash the colors were still incredibly vibrant and my hair is silky, shiny and soft.

Surprised at how well it took on my greys!
I'm going grey from very dark brown hair. Ive been dying it my original natural color for quite a while and finally grew all the dye out and had virgin hair again. I had always wanted a fun vivid fashion color, but never wanted to bleach my nearly black hair. My mom was a cosmetologist and while I've never bleached my hair out of fear of frying it, I always had access to professional color and was comfortable with the single process after years of my mom doing it for me at home. I used a redkin semipermanent violet color for a very subtle plum glow under a light and age perfect permanent colors in both darkest plum and darkest intense brown to much success. From my mom, I knew once I started going grey that I needed to go from 10v to 20v developer bc grey hair just doesnt take permanent dye as easily, nor will it really absorb semipermanent color. So even though my hair is now light, I did not expect this color to take as it is recommended for neither dark nor grey hair. I tried the amethyst since Ive used purple color before (which I loved but violet tones bleed like crazy and I got sick of that, browns don't bleed) and figured it would either leave my hair black, or not take at all. The thick color application was different but easy (esp with nothing to mix), USE GLOVES and clean DRY hair and protect your ears and hairline. I bagged my head and let it sit fot 90 minutes with no heat. I rinsed it for about 15 minutes.....you won't get that water clear, and I actually washed it 2x bc I didn't want it bleeding everywhere (I don't think you are supposed to wash it out, just rinse). I didnt wear gloves while rinsing/ washing and thought my hands were stained purple....I was afraid to see my face. My hair was a dark but extremely vivid bluish purple that glowed under light (color is NOT subtle, pics dont do it justice). The pepper went black and the salt went purple, and it was super shiny. Its gradually fading.....not quickly. Pics are virgin, directly after dying/washing 2x, after about 2-3 more washes, and then after about 8-9 total washes, where some of my salt is now lavender. It bleeds a little in the shower but does not rub off on my pillow (it might if it were wet, not sure), but it doesnt bleed anywhere near as much as I expected. The color is vivid and iridescent. I'm impressed and might try the emerald now that I've been able to go bright without frying my hair or committing to permanent color.

Love the color!
Wow, I do not dye my hair and I love these colors to change things up and feel fresh. I have light brown hair and absolutely am so happy with the color that it came out. It’s really easy to use. I just apply the product in layers and then put a plastic shopping bag over my hair for 30 minutes to an hour and be very careful when you wash this product out if you have a white bathtub like I do it will stain a little bit, but I use a magic eraser scrub after I’m done rinsing my hair to clean up my bathtub. Make sure you don’t get this product on any white walls or any surfaces because it does stain just wipe it right away if it touches anything, but I love how my hair turned out and I will definitely be using this product again. It’s enough to dye my hair one time and to use touchups a few times as well, so the product will last you a long time and it is super colorful.

Bleeds& stains A LOT
This is a good semi perm hair color. You definitely get a lot of product so it's worth the money. It smells really good and the texture is nice and thick like a butter consistency which I love. I bought the Fuchsia Crystal color and we put it over previously lightened hair that was dyed to a level 7 red. It did cover the vibrancy of the red and got rid of the orangey tint it had to it but we were hoping for a more mulberry color like it looks in the jar, but it is in fact way more pink & red than it is purple. It's the exact same color as Lime Crime Unicorn Hair Chocolate Cherry, to a T. My client has a lot of hair as you can see from the pictures and one jar wasn't quite enough product for her full head, so we had to improvise, as we did this at home. The extra few ounces we got from the Lime Crime tube was enough and colored the hair exactly the same. Color applies super evenly and is definitely very vibrant. We left it on for an hour. Be aware that this color not only stains your skin, but anything it comes into contact with, including towels and your sink or bath tub. Use Vaseline all around your hairline, ears and neck to avoid skin staining. Rubbing alcohol or dawn dish soap will remove it from your skin. Don't get it on your clothes. It will ruin them. Acetone will remove it from your nails. The color bleeds pretty heavily every time you wash it regardless if you rinse with cool water.. it still bleeds and continues to bleed when you're drying your hair on your towels. It also bleeds significantly Any time you sweat. So Use a dark colored pillow case at night. I would also designate an old towel that you don't care to stain every time you wash. It does fade pretty quickly because it's red/pink so that's pretty hard to avoid. I recommended getting a color deposit shampoo or conditioner to maintain the color Bc it will start to fade after about 2 weeks. Get yourself a good quality color safe shampoo and conditioner to elongate color & always wash in cool water. If it stains your tub... and it will... the best solution to get the color out, depending on what your tub is made of, is using a magic eraser and hot water. I sprayed Clorox bleach on the stubborn stains leftover and let it sit for about 10 min and the stains were gone. If you have a porcelain sink or tub, use a mixture of white vinegar and baking soda and make a paste with it and let it sit on the stains for 10 min and use a brush or sponge and hot water to remove. You may have to repeat those steps until it's gone. If all else fails, use 100% acetone as a last resort. Hope this helps!

Best emerald dye, fades beautifully, not teal or lime
The best true green dye I’ve found in YEARS !! I swore by Raw Super Green but that’s nearly impossible to find these days so I’ve been searching for a replacement dye for at least 2 years and finally found one I love !! The color is a true emerald green, not teal or lime. And as it fades, it just turns lighter green instead of yellowish or blue-ish. For the best emerald tone I suggest leaving your hair a bit yellow when you bleach it instead of going platinum. Heads up tho, the dye looks VERY blue when you put it in your hair and the rinse water will be 100% teal. Don’t panic, your hair is gonna be green! First pic is freshly dyed (Nov 24th) and second pic is 6 weeks later (Jan 10th)

Amazing color payoff, but bleeds and stains EVERYTHING!
I've been dying my hair bright colors for many years and I was very excited to try out the INH one for it's deep conditioning properties. The color turned out amazing, and it's super conditioning which left my hair really soft. If that's all that matters to you than I 100% recommend it. However, this is the first dye that I've had a hair dye that bleeds this much and stains everything. I used gloves for the application so that was not an issue, but my fingers turn purple when I blow dry or style my hair even after multiple washes. My white nail polish is now light pink and my fingertips turn purple from just touching my dry hair. My towel and pillowcases and stained and it did not come off in a regular wash cycle. It's very annoying since I've been doing this for years with multiple different brands (even bright red permanent dyes) and never had this happen, so I was completely unprepared for the amount of staining. As amazing as the color is, I don't think it's worth the inconvenience of having to do multiple washes and maybe even use bleach to remove the stains from towels, bedding, and even the tiles in my shower. But as I said, if the staining does not matter to you, the color is amazing.

100% recommend!!
I've purchased from INH a few times now, I can easily recommend this product to anyone interested in coloring their hair! I originally bought the green color, it matched exactly what the image provided for my hair color (brunette, not a super dark brown but definitely brown). I colored the green around mid-late July 2025 and it remained just as vibrant for a full month and wasn't completely out until December 2025 (though you'd have to be looking for green to see it by then). Purchased the pink color the second time, it was perfectly vibrant and beautiful for about... 3-6 days? Definitely washed out faster. Had it since late December 2025 (time of posting this review is Jan 27 2026), and its for sure still there, but would require touching up a lot more frequently if I wanted to keep up the brighter pink I loved! Pink can be a very finnicky color though, and Im sure if I had lighter hair it would have definitely lived as long as the emerald green did! I havent had any issues with staining, besides my bra and somehow my knee, but if you're concerned then rinse your hair in a metal sink (I didnt even need to bleach out the sink after i colored, but you can if youre concerned) OR having isopropyl alcohol on hand when rinsing your hair over porcelaine. It IS still dye, so it will stain things if you arent responsible. Next I plan on getting the blue color, once I can boil the rest of this pink off my head lol. Its definitely the best alternative when you dont want to use permanent colors or bleach!

Not for darker hair
This hair color is nice but if you're trying to not bleach your hair it's not gonna work XD I have parts of my hair bleached and others not, some got on the bleached parts, but I bought this for my unbleached hair to get that nice dark green look....long story short it did not stay even with washing under cold water. Only lasted 7 washes. However the little that's on my bleached strips is still there and is a very vibrant teal. So for future reference if your gonna try this with brunette hair... don't! Even if you have light brown hair! It will not stay in! Only works for natural blond or bleached hair
