A trip through time
I am once again 8 yrs old. It's nice revisiting my first Pokemon game and meeting all of my favorite pokemon again. I'm actually surprised I remember a lot of the routes. Nostalgia aside, this is honestly a really good remake. Don't let all the negative reviews or stories fool you. If Sword and Shield were your first games, do yourself a favor and give this a try. This actually feels like a Pokemon game. Here's why I think the game is great: - Complex story. You feel as if you're completely immersed in the lore and storyline. There are so many different stories about pokemon and legends sprinkled throughout the main plot. - Lots to do. Unlike Sword and Shield, where everything was a straight path, and little to explore, there's actually a lot to see in this game. You can explore the caves, Mt. Cornet, participate in contests, go to the underground, and so much more. You don't have to go to the next gym right away, since there are other ways you can keep busy instead. - Graphics. I know people are complaining about the graphics, but I liked how the developers chose to stick with the original art style. After all, the game is a remake and the graphics help the game retain its original charm. - Quality of life updates. The game has features from the other games such as exp share and instant accessibility to the PC boxes among a few others. This makes gameplay a little more convenient. I do wish the exp share could be turned off, but at least it's not as generous as Sword and Shield. If you were to follow the plot straight through, your pokemon would be around the same level as your next gym challenge. Maybe a few levels up, but nothing too drastic. - NO HANDHOLDING. Okay I wouldn't say there's no handholding at all (it's a game designed for children), but it's not super easy. Some battles are actually a bit of a challenge, and other than a little note of where you should be going next, you're basically free to roam and figure out what you want to do. - VS Seeker. Oh how I missed this. This gives you an opportunity to re-battle trainers once you've gone through all of them. Last thoughts: It's not platinum, so don't expect the game to have platinum features. It is a true Diamond/Pearl remake. Other than the lack of fire types, the remakes do the originals justice. There's plenty of trainers to battle and things to do. The game really is fun, and I am so happy that the new generation of Pokemon fans will get to experience it. If you do decide to get the game, just relax and take your time going through it. No need to speed run and just enjoy your time in Sinnoh.

I have to admit I teared up a little
The original Pokémon Diamond on the DS was the very first Pokémon game I ever owned. I can vividly recall the anticipation leading up to it, when I finally got it a few days after Christmas, and all of the days and late nights playing it. I was initially disappointed when this remake was announced by the lack of high end graphics, as most fans were. However I decided to let that go because what’s the point being upset about something like that. I preordered and got Brilliant Diamond. I will admit that I teared up a bit when I first turned this game, experiencing a rush of nostalgia that I didn’t expect to. I’ve played Diamond many times since 2007, but I re-experienced a sensation I hadn’t felt since the very beginning. "When you walked up Route 201 with your Pokémon, what did you feel? I've lived for 60 long years. Even now, I get a thrill when I'm with a Pokémon.” -professor Rowan The art style of this remake is a modern take on the style from the original games on the DS. Now that I’ve played it, I am glad they went this direction. As far as game mechanics go, this remake takes everything fans loved about the originals and improves on them. It is very much in the realm of classic gameplay and story from old school Pokémon games, but with some much needed quality of life improvements. For example in the original games, you always had to have two Pokémon dedicated to learning HM moves in order to get over the many obstacles along your journey. This was frustrating because it took up 8 entire move slots on your team - two entire Pokémon at the very minimum. This mechanic was much improved for this remake. Now all of the HM moves are added to your in game watch, and using them calls on a nearby wild Pokémon to lend you a hand. This frees up your team to allow you to always carry your favorites around everywhere you go. That’s just one example of improvements they made. I would go as far as to say that these remakes are some of the most complete and well made Pokémon games ever. And I definitely say they are the best Pokémon games that are modern and easily accessible for anyone because the game and the hardware to play it are still being made. Highly recommended if you were a fan of the original Diamond and Pearl. Also highly highly recommend it as a first Pokémon game to a kid in your life

Funcionando perfeitamente.
