Indigo Blue 4.8 oz 100% Cotton Denim Chambray Fabric,56 Inches Wide, by The Yard

This fabric is perfect for my project. It looks like denim but feels like cotton poplin. It’s called denim in the description, but I think technically that’s a description more of weight and weave than appearance, so if you’re looking for actual denim a different heavier weight product might work better.

This is perfect for my project. I sew doll clothes including clothes for 11.5 inch fashion dolls. I needed something light weight that looked like jeans on a doll. This works well for this application.

It's doable but not the quality I expected. Would have liked heavier.

You can do much better than this for the price. Denim is a twill weave while chambray is a plain weave (colored warp and white weft). This fabric is neither. I also doubt that it is 100% cotton or the stated weight. It is very light weight fabric with a sort of slick feel to it. It definitely won't work for my project.

The fabric has great color and is lightweight, just like I’d wanted. Perfect for making shirts or quilts. I bought 2 yards, because I planned on using this fabric to be the back of a quilt I was making. But unfortunately, instead of coming in a single solid 2 yard cut, I received 2 packages of 1 yard cuts. While it won’t completely ruin my project, it means that I will have an unsightly seam through the back of the quilt that I did not want.

They are 34 inch cuts. I was depending on 36. Utterly useless. Now I have to scramble all over the entire internet the find the EXACT same fabric type in the EXACT same color! Utterly, completely, incredibly useless!

This was fine for the purpose I used it for, but I wouldn’t recommend it for heavy duty use as it was fairly lightweight. It cut and sewed up fine for me.

Very thin material, luckily I’m not making a piece of clothing because it’s sooo cheap feeling. Polyester, nota drop of cotton in it!!
