Not the quickest build of a tent compared to all the super fast fold tents available these days. After your first assembly you may be quicker the next time around. Better to assemble the tent on the ground and then move it onto the flat bed to strap it on. Needed a bit of adjustments as it doesn’t fit perfect on a ram 2020 limited crew 1500 Consider your first build in day light.

Good idea

Nice tent in terms of space. Fits well to the truck and stays secure even in strong winds. There are 2 disadvantages with this design. First, you will need to put the rain cover every time otherwise water and moisture will get inside, but the rain cover blocks the windows. You cannot use them with the cover on. The second point is the quality of the materials is not great. The design places the frame of the door under great stress and this broke after using the tent twice... Not ideal.

We love this tent, I love being off the ground when camping in QLD. You get a few stares, given most people haven’t seen anything like it… but we’re ok with that. The tent is so easy to assemble and pack away. We fit 2 people and 2 dogs comfortably. Great air circulation. Would recommend. We have a GWM cannon Ute and it fits great.

I have had this tent for almost a year now and have used it multiple times so I think I can give an accurate review on it. The TL:DR is I love this tent, and if you are thinking of a truck bed setup like this, this tent is awesome! Being up off the ground surrounded by the truck bed gives an extra sense of security and there is plenty of room inside. Setup: Reviews here mentioned setting it up on the ground vs while it is in the truck bed and having done both methods, I agree setting it up on the ground then lifting it into the truck bed is the way to go. It is especially helpful with another person to help get it into place. The actual setup of the tent is typical, and if you are used to setting up a tent this is similar. It takes about 5 minutes now to get it popped up and into the truck bed, first time is a little frustrating when you don't fully know how it works. I am in a 2005 Nissan Titan and it fits perfectly. Durability: so far this tent has held up just fine with multiple setup and take downs, no visible damage yet, and it survived some very strong winds during a bit of a storm. With the rain fly on it stays perfectly dry inside and not being on the ground when it rains is very nice. Zippers are all holding up fine. I also found out that it can hold up to moving the truck under 20mph recently when a Bear decided to crash our campsite, my Wife and Son inside reported that it was solid during the short ride we took. Inside/comfort: The tent gives a really cozy feeling in your truck bed and even though its just the size of your truck, it feels plenty spacious and sleeps my Wife, Son and I comfortably. There is plenty of headroom and the way it hangs over the sides of the bed make it like a shelf on each side where I like to put my phone/keys/wallet etc... We originally were using a queen size air mattress and while it fit well, the comfort was a bit lacking (probably due to the low quality mattressI was using) I built a modular wood platform that we then put some foam mattress toppers on it that has really made a huge difference, more comfortable, and more stable than an air mattress. Conclusion: We love this tent and have not regretted it one bit, you feel more secure in your truck bed than on the ground. Setup/takedown is standard for most tents, nothing tricky once you get the hang of it, and it fits in its bag easily enough. I would definitely buy it again if something were to happen to it.

keeps rain out and holds up to the the wind. I'm too old to sleep on the ground, so a truck bed tent is the first step up. I have the 8 foot truck bed model and have lots of room. I'm appx 6'2 and cant quite stand, but I can work around that. Having the 8 foot model makes set up tricky with one person. I use a leaf blower to "inflate" the tent when securing the last 2 tent poles (the ones that cross at the top creating the dome shape)

Wow this is a great item. I set it up within a half hour of getting the package and except for putting the fly on the tent after it was up on the truck which I would not do the next time it went easily. I found the colour coded poles to be a bit confusing at first as they mean just the trim piece of each place you put the pole is the colour of the pole. I also managed to put the fly with the door side at the back by mistake but watching a video helped sort that out. It fit perfect and I got a great product quickly at a price we can brag about.
