Quality build....its Traxxas! The La in front scared me.
Fun and very FAST little 4x4. If you are going to let your kids drive it, I'd upgrade the A-arms. My daughter ramped it into a tree and broke the stock plastic one. $20 for the upgrade was worth it.

Cheap piece of crap. Broke on the first use. Do not buy.
My son drove this for literally 15 seconds down the driveway and it just collapsed onto the floor. The wheel snapped. It had maybe driven 20-30yrds total on a drive. No accidents and it just snapped. This is completely unacceptable for this price point.

Lots of fun
I must have broken those A-arms 20 times. That said, they're cheap, easy to replace, and I ran it into a curb. A terrific toy for a kid 11 and up because it's fun and it helps them learn mechanical skills. Liked it so much, I bought two more for friends to race and a pile of spare A-arms, differential housings, screws... If you buy one, get extra A-arms and make sure you have a little phillips screwdriver and a pair of needle nose pliers.

Honest experience
Honest experience this traxxas rc and not junk. Got it for my son for his birthday. He has drove it 2 times. Broke both times. Also took almost 2 weeks to arrive Day one of driving lasted 15 min and motor burnt out. I Gave it a 2 star only because traxxas answered the phone on a Sunday and sent me a new motor free of charge. The new motor took almost 3 weeks to arrive. So while waiting I ordered a brushless upgraded motor and got it running again for only the second time he got to drive it. About 20 min into normal operation it snapped a rear plastic axle shaft. So we’re down again waiting on upgrade axle. Also I bought my self a cheaper hyper go rc that came with brushes and steal axles at the same time. Showed up same day. And I have drove it everyday for a month and I have not broken a single thing. It is 10-10 better than this.

Not built to last
I previously wrote a review stating that I was happy with this product other than some cheap plastic parts which needed to be replaced right away. We did that and have been using it periodically. Today something else broke by the front left wheel and it is now unusable. Disappointing

Very fragile.
Not for kids...we've replaced axles, a motor and another part I can't recall. Cheaply made.

This RC toy is very poor quality for the $300 price tag. Issues so far listed below: Day 1: Front suspension arm broke after a rough landing; cheap plastic material does not stand a chance. Ordered and installed alloy upgrades that seem to be holding well and look really cool in red. Day 3: Rough grinding noise. Opened up the differentials and checked for wear. Differential was bone dry not a drop of lubrication. Luckily the gears were not worn down...yet. Added grease, problem solved. Day 9: Loud clicking noise. Took it apart to see if differentials are still good and it seems they are holding up well. Removed the entire shaft and spur assembly and checked at each stage to see if noise can be isolated. Motor seems to be running smooth, no worn teeth anywhere. Differentials still good. Bearings are loose on the shaft but each part seems to be okay individually. However, noise persists after cleaning and re-assembly. Overall I am extremely disappointed with the quality. My 12 yo son was enjoying the troubleshooting and upgrade process but it is now very frustrated due to the constant issues and not being able to enjoy his Christmas present. As far as he is concerned Traxxas is a major letdown. The two star rating is due to the good battery life, solid 35min at high speed use, and cool looks with upgraded parts.
