Sorel Women's Whitney II Short Lace Winter Boots
J**H
Very odd sizing, very warm but very odd fit
I ended up having to return this pair (bought 2 sizes up) for a pair 3.5 sizes up. I have narrow feet, high arches, my second toe is slightly longer than my big toe, slender ankles, minimal calves, and my shoe size universally is like a 7.5 W. I bought a 9.5 and it was way too short and my toes felt crammed. When I got an even bigger size I kept them. These are incredibly warm and so far waterproof (up to where the gap on the sides of the front tongue cover are). I ended up getting the higher calf high version too. They don't have much arch support and the part that cups around the back of your heal feels like stiff but weak cardboard (as in, you do NOT want to cram your foot in and crease it because that crease will be permanent!) and I can see how this could cause rubs if you can't get them snug and fitted correctly for your foot.I have been wearing these a lot in the past month. The sole grips well, my feet are actually warm, and no blisters or rubs, but it does take some effort to lace these up correctly and snuggly- they want to tighten at the lowest end closest to the toe and then just at top when you pull the laces- you have to get the laces snug in the center to secure your foot well. There is a weird circular thing I can feel under the center of the sole close to the arch that feels like a raised logo like 3-4cm in size, I eventually got used to it, but it's a bad flaw and insoles can mask it but there's no reason for it to be there (it was instantly felt in all 3 pairs I bought).I grew up (child of the 80s/90s) and my mom had an old pair of slip on Sorel boots that had those old worn felt inserts and they were such good boots, huge on me but I never failed to steal them when I played outside in the winter. As with almost everything else, companies change, product quality shifts, and I don't know that these will last 40+ years like those did, but if you have a narrow foot, buy much bigger than you need and can get these snug for you, they are warm and comfortable. I wear them to walk/hike with my dog many miles at a time.

Total fluke shipment. Such a bummer!
Let me start off by saying that I have some big ol' feet. For Sorels to fit with socks, I need to wear a size 12. I was super excited about these boots because they're not big and clunky like my "monster Sorel winter boots" and they will be more comfortable for traveling, commuting, etc. And then I can leave the big stompers at home for snow removal and so forth. I finally got these in and I was excited to try them on and they were SNUG. Like super snug. They run VERY narrow too - but the foot length is what seemed too small for me. I could definitely wear them without socks - but who doesn't wear socks in the winter inside their boots? So I was really sad about it. Checked the box - it says size 12. And then I checked the boots and both boots are size 11! I could keep these and make them work without socks - but I just can't fathom that personally. I'm wearing these for warmth, and they are warm, but socks are a winter must for me. So unfortunately they're going to be returned. Totally a fluke thing to happen. They don't appear to be worn. Tags still on, the bottoms don't show outside wear or anything. No one's fault. It is a bummer because they are comfy and super cute.

Cute, warm and comfortable!
Warm, comfortable, fit true to size. Breathable for nylon. High enough to be supportive but not too tall. Substantial but not too clunky. I usually wear a 7 1/2 or 8, I have narrow feet so they’re slightly wide for me but the laces are nice. Neutral color yet different. Traction seems okay though I’ve only worn them in town. Hopefully they’ll be okay for hiking trails.

Sneaker boots !!!
These are awesome!! I normally wear a 7.5, bought the 7.5 moved up and back in the back. I exchanged for the 7 and they fit perfectly!! They are snug, no need for thick socks, super warm and great support . No sliding in slick weather. They are a super hip style !!!! Get them

Runs very small!
Runs a full size small. I had to return mine. Went to a brick and mortar store so I could actually try them on. Thank goodness since I had to go up a full size more than my normal boot. Should be a great dog walking boot!

Super cute and warm. No arch support.
I really love these boots. They are cute, warm, and lightweight. I am a size 7, ordered a size 7 and they fit fine. I have wideish feet and these are just at the point where if they were any narrower I would return them. There is not enough arch support for me , I bought an insert so it works fine. They are well made.

Odd Sizing and zero drop
UP DATE: I sadly had to return the boots as they were ok fo sitting down in and not too bad on a short walk, but on my first longer walk (actually using them to walk the dogs) the rigid black plastic at the heel really bruised my ankles. aAs so many reviews say, the sizing is really off. I am a UK 7. The 7 in these boots was like a 6-6.5 whereas the 7.5 is a very generous 7.5. There does not seem to be a size 7 equivalent, so double socks or another inner sole will help with fitting as my feet are sliding about a bit.Really nice, ultra light warm boots, but def not worth the full price and not great for actually walking in for more than a few minutes.

Runs small, size at least half size up if not more
Was excited to receive these boots, however they were too small when ordered in my usual size, so order half or a full size up and especially if you're going to wear winter socks with them (as they are sold as a snow boot) They don't have a fleecy or fluffy inner which I though they might have but cant say if they were a warm boot as I returned straight away once I found they were too small. Overall I liked the boots but perhaps wouldn't describe it as a snow boot......UPDATE....now managed to buy the same boot (in black) in one size bigger and roughly the same price and it fits perfectly!

Very comfy
After reading other comments I bought a size bigger and it was a perfect fit especially with boot socks. Used in the rain, heavy snow and walked all day and have no complaints. Despite being through mud also they wiped clean to almost as new. Recommended but get a size bigger than your usual shoe size

Perfect all rounder.
Was anxious that I'd only ordered a half size bigger, based on all the reviews of these being very small, however I was hugely relieved to find they are pretty much a perfect fit. I've found that I don't need multiple layers of socks on to keep my feet warm as the boots do that job, so just wearing one thin or thick pair of socks is perfect. They seem pretty waterproof and warm so far! Love them.

The perfect winter boots
Perfect combination of sneakers and boots. They’re very warm, soft, flexible and easy to clean. Also good grip on slippery surfaces.
