A'PIEU Madecassoside Cream 2X (1.69 fl oz) - for Combination and Blemish-Prone Skin, Helps Soothe Dryness, Sun Damage, Even Dark Spots - Centella Asiatica, Asiaticoside, Asiatic Acid

This has been a staple in my daily routine (age 44), my two daughter’s (ages 15 and 25), and a handful of friends of all ages, for many years. I have recommended it to at least 25 people and I’ve only had one person who said they didn’t like it and I don’t even know if they really tried it. I think I tried it about four or five years ago for the first time and I have never looked back. I’ve never loved any other skincare product as much as this one, and I am an esthetician! I have tried so many things over the years and nothing beats this for moisturizing and soothing. I have recommended it to so many clients who cannot afford expensive skincare because it is good for so many different things. I don’t know what it is about this specific 2X Cream (the newer Tetrasome Cica formulation does not work as well as the 2X Cream!!! ), but it is so amazingly good for acne of all types, irritated, sunburn, and also stimulating collagen and elastin for mature skin. I have used it after microneedling, to calm breakouts, when I’m dry and dehydrated, on my granddaughters’ sunburns, on my dry and cracked heels, my winter time chapped hands, and for so many reasons and it is a savior every time! It is a great overnight barrier cream to finish with. I need this cream to never change and never go away. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE APIEU, do not discontinue or change the 2X cream. My skin cannot live without it.

I have spent the better part of a decade trying to find a good moisturizer for my very dry, VERY sensitive and very fungal acne/hormonal acne prone skin. Finally, after trying every fungal acne save moisturizer from the popular one to the more obscure ones, I have found The One. It is relatively thick but has great slip to it and absorbs beautifully. It is the last step in my routine and I ALWAYS spritz my face with plain water afterwards to give the humectants some moisture to absorb into my skin. If you’ve been searching for forever like I have and just can’t find a good, solid no frills moisturizer for your skin- try it. I don’t think there’s a single ingredient that can trigger any type of acne- including the nightmare that is fungal acne. It won’t treat your acne or fade sun damage etc. but it’s not supposed to. That is for other steps in your skincare routine. This is simply to bring moisture into your skin, keep it there, and has the added bonus of irritation soothing ingredients. And not to mention the affordability- a huge tube of this for ~$25 is a DEAL for the amount you get and the effectiveness of the product. Customer for life. Seriously amazing moisturizer.

I'm in my early '40s though I have the skin of someone in their mid to late '30s. Thank you sunblock and my mom's genetics. I have moderate rosacea and then prone to some small hormonal acne outbreaks. I would call my skin sensitive and mostly dry. The past few winters I've been having some serious barrier problems and pretty much nothing out there at any price point from any source has really helped me. I also recently reintroduced tretinoin back into my skin routine after a few years without it. This cream is amazing. Because the tretinoin is SO drying I have to use a sandwich method for my application. So after washing gently with the light drying off I use an HA serum and let my skin absorb that fully. Then I put a light layer of this on and let my skin absorb it fully. Then I apply my tretinoin and let my skin absorb it fully. Then I'll put a heavier duty cream over the top if I'm feeling particularly dry. Right now my skin really seems to be loving the purple and white jar of renewal night cream by CeraVe. When I tell you... my skin is flawless. When I'm putting this lotion on I cannot feel my face underneath my fingertips. Even prior to restarting the tretinoin this cream is amazing. In the summer it's all I need besides my SPF. And in the winter it layers beautifully and provides an amazing base for applying lightweight liquid foundation or a mineral powder. Random people stop me and compliment my skin when I wear this lotion. And it is so affordable. Buy it you won't regret it.

I wanted to wait a few weeks before posting a review. after almost 4 weeks of consistent use, I really like this moisturizer! I was using too many products on my skin and now I keep it simple. After double cleansing with oil cleanser and a zinc soap bar I mist my face with Cos RX toner and then sometimes I'll use a vitamin C or Retinol followed by this moisturizer. my skin is healing and looking healthier, the cream is not heavy or tacky once applied. I like to gently tap the moisturizer in all over my face and that helps with any leftover texture. use very little because using too much can dry out your blemishes and make them ichy. When used correctly this cream is very very good!

It's a bit heavy so I would not put it all over my face but its great for spot treatments when you have an especially bad pimple that starts getting inflamed.

At any age one must be careful about skin care, so I am most pleased with A'PIEU Madecassoside and have used both the original and x2 formulas. My skin is combination—so dry cheeks with a touch of rosacea and an oily Tzone. I finished the original formula and enjoy its consistency more than the X2 formula, which feels a bit more watery and may suit very oily skin. On my skin the original formula is a touch more moisturizing and has an amazing ‘glide’ over the skin, like a soft lotion/gel. In fairness the difference is negligible and both formulas are extremely soothing, the rosacea on one cheek and accompanying redness is comforted without stinging, especially after exfoliation, and my skin looks and feels incredibly soft the next day which was immensely surprising a week after beginning use . . I have a few oily areas and was initially wary of clogging pores, or encouraging breakouts and creating an oil slick, but the moisturizer does not clog pores or cause even one break out. I keep a tube next to my bed and sometimes reapply around my eyes because it feels good. I’m looking forward to potentially trying a few other formulations within A'PIEU’s line
