This book is an exact copy of the McGraw 2014 ACT practice book.Word for word, test for test, explanation for explanation. All they did was replace 2014 with 2017 on the cover. ### ⭐⭐⭐ I love the grammar rules and drills *by K***N on Reviewed in the United States on November 11, 2016* I love the grammar rules and drills. But why put the grammar rules in the back of the book and have the grammar drills in the front of the book. So, when I am showing students, we go to the back of the book to learn commas, then turn to the front to do the comma drills. I'm glad the rules are present in the back, but how many students would know to look in the back of the book for the grammar rules?Great drills with the math and great practice problems throughout the book with the practice tests. In fact, this book does a really good job of offering strategies and approaches to each section of the exam. However, the biggest knock on this book (reason for 3 star rating) is the difficulty of the science and reading section does not replicate the exam very well at all. Students I work with complain about the reading and science being much easier than the actual ACT. After doing very well on book exercises, they get a false sense of how they'll do on actual exam. I try to explain that the book exercises are easier and intended to work on fundamentals but we end up having to supplement this book with other practice exams that more closely resemble the actual ACT. It would be better if they mixed more difficult questions in and put a little more effort in more closely replicating ACT. And the reading sections are much shorter than actual ACTs, by word count, which also is unfortunate and could and should be easily fixed. ### ⭐⭐ This book provides practice tests and exercises for the latest ... *by T***S on Reviewed in the United States on May 17, 2016* Unfortunately, this book is just a duplicate of the 2014 practice book, except that they called it ACT 2017. To summarize the contents, this includes (1) 3 practice tests and 2 more online, (2) exercises and quizzes for (a) reading comprehension, (b) math, (c) science, (d) grammar, and (e) basic writing principles, and (3) vocabulary list.
