Another Quality Cable from NewFantasia
Build quality is decent as always from NewFantasia. I have been using them for my headphone re-cabling needs for a few years now and have always been very happy with their cables. The nylon sleeving keeps the cable stiff and tangle-free while still allowing full flexibility. It has the potential for microphonics against clothing among other things if you use these as mobile cables. That said it works fine for a desktop headphone amp. The 3.5mm TRS connector is beefy with great stress relief and the Sennheiser L/R connectors are as stout as they need to be. The screw-on 1/4" adapter is decently made and fits flush on the connector. This cable is plenty heavy-duty for home use with an amp. Have seen several reports of the connectors "being too soft" and bending or deforming when they are inserted. If you have to use enough insertion force to actually damage the cable, you are inserting it wrong, period. These insert easily into my HD580s and snap in and out crisply but need nowhere near enough force to damage anything. Maybe stop for a second and look at what you're doing before forcing a $400 pair of headphones to the point of damage? Just a thought. No perceptible difference in sound quality over the HD650 cable with my HD580. The 5 foot length is my main draw here as I find anything shorter way too short for my desktop amp and anything longer to be a nuisance. It's a rare length and NewFantasia makes pretty much all of their cables available in 5ft lengths. Being that they're otherwise very nice cables, that makes them a real must-buy for me. If there's an audible difference between cables at this short distance it usually means there's something wrong with one of the cables. At this level you shouldn't expect a difference. I bought this cable for functionality alone. Many report there being a clear difference between the HD600 and HD650 cables. I believe that's because some HD600 cables have an inadequacy somewhere. Either channel imbalance or an impedance issue or something. Sennheiser do not "tune" their cables. I have used many different cables in my time and have never heard a difference unless one cable had an issue. It's just copper passing electricity. Maybe some of the incredibly priced audiophile cables make a slightly noticeable difference, but nothing can really claim to be an outright improvement. This cables performs the expected function quite well. It looks good, is practical, and is decently built. Can't ask much more for the price.

A Great Cable!
I bought this cable for my Sennheiser HD 600 phones. I like this cable! It is made well and looks great...for a cable. The braided cable material is a nice feature which keeps the cable from getting twisted & tangled. I also like the input plug with the spring which will keep the cable secure from shorting at the plug. This cable is more sturdy and thicker than the more expensive version I was using. Lastly, the length option is a plus. I bought the 2mm which is perfect for the space I work in. I would highly recommend this cable.

Good value.
Impressed with the quality for price. Flexible but sturdy. I think it is better than the original HD600 cable. Good product.

A great deal compared to the Sennheiser replacement cord.
The official cord for Sennheiser at this time costs $149. This was only $20. I like this on as it seems more durable, and my dog doesn't like chewing it for some reason. Sound seems just as good; it's just wire after all. The connectors are well made. My only complaint is the orignal cord has the right earpiece coded red for right. This one both connectors are black. That's why I give it a 4 starts. Kinda picky I know...

Essential for portability
The cable easily connects and is so much more practical especially when you want portability using a cellphone. Sound quality remains same as the original.

Suprisingly Nice and We’ll Made, Audio Quality is Good Too
This is my first time a NewFantasia product but I figured for the price this replacement cable for the HD650 looked like something worth trying considering the reviews seemed positive for the most part. I have owned and enjoyed the HD650 for some time now and despite the fact that it comes with an excellent cable, it is a very long cable and must be adapted to 3.5mm from a 1/4 inch plug which isn’t ideal for more portable uses since the headphones can actually be driven with decent sound on most phones. The NewFantasia cable seems pretty well made. The braided portion has a nice red and black weave and feels very durable. It terminates into a nice metal 3.5mm jack with a spring to protect the end from hard bends. It also includes a screw on 3.5mm to 1/4 inch adapter. On the other side the braided cable has a metal portion at the wire split and the cables split into nice rubber cables that run to the headphones. The plugs are small but you can feel which sides face outward when plugging in although there is no way to feel or see which plug is for which side without some light. The plugs are a little smaller than the stock cable but they fit very nicely into the HD650 ports. I’m not running a very high end setup with the iPhone 7 Plus(Apple Music 256kb/s AAC Tidal Lossless), the Schiit Fulla 2 Dac/Amp, and the HD650 but I haven’t noticed any degradation in the audio quality moving to these cables from the stock. I’m sure there could be a measurable difference but to my ears the difference seems to be mostly negligible. Overall I’m satisfied with the cable and considering how it sounds and comparing the cost to some of the higher end cables, I feel that the $18 I paid is reasonable. I’ll update my review should I run into any issues but otherwise I think this is a great cable and can recommend it.

Frayed in three months because the separated wires are too short
I purchased this item at the end of September 2023. Barely three months later, I need to replace it. It suddenly developed a short in one of the cables near the headphones, as they all do. There were three major problems with this cable. 1: By far the biggest issue is how short the separated portion of the cable is. By that I mean the left/right cables that go to the speakers after the Y split. They're not quite a foot long. This contributed greatly to their demise, because the closeness of the Y split meant that the left/right cables were CONSTANTLY touching my neck. Designs with longer lengths after the Y permit the cables to remain separated and avoid brushing up against the neck, and in turn avoid the kind of wear and tear that leads to fraying. 2: The Y split is a design that defeats any thought of extending the split to fix problem #1. The rest of the cable below the Y is a single wire that cannot be split further, unlike other HD650 replacement cable designs. 3: When it developed a short, that was it. Notwithstanding my CONSIDERABLE effort, I could not position the wire at a fixed angle and tape it in place to regain temporary sound from both speakers. The wire was too frayed to allow this. THIS TELLS ME THAT THE ACTUAL WIRE INSIDE THE BLACK RUBBER IS EXTREMELY THIN, WHICH OBVIOUSLY OPENS THIS CABLE TO EXACTLY THE PROBLEM I ENCOUNTERED IN JUST THREE MONTHS. Was it really worth saving a couple of pennies on some copper? Easily the worst replacement cable I've bought.

Good quality, reasonably priced
Great quality, I like that the adapter screws on so there's no chance of it falling off. Reasonably priced for a proprietary cable.
