The ends are extra long to help keep any crimps or loose connections, and I love it when cable makers do this. The C connectors themselves grip the ports very tightly, nice and secure so no worries about them falling out.Now the part I was scared of was the cable being able to rapid charge my Pixel XL, and I am happy to say with the default wall charger I get rapid charge without issue.
