A: Yes depending on the size of generator. For a 7650watt 10000 peak running head you need atleast 16hp for a 1500 -2500 watt head you can probably run this guy or even better an unregulated permanent magnet alternator.

I'm unfortunately writing this review late but engine arrived in sketchy packaging that was poor and did end up taking a dent to the feul tank but that didn't affected anything major but I do hope they change the packaging, engine is now on a Manco Magnum Express and runs great starts first pull every time and turned out to be really dependable I would highly recommend as a starter diesel engine
