How is this a 12 track recorder when you can have at most 8 inputs at once?

The H8 can record up to 12 tracks at once. These include up to 4 tracks of input from a mic capsule, Inputs 1–4, A and B, and a stereo mix of these with L/R tracks (2 tracks). Mics can be connected to Inputs 1–4 and instruments can be connected to Inputs A and B, for example, and recorded to corresponding input tracks 1–4, A and B. There is an option to purchase a Zoom EXH-8 4-channel XLR Capsule for the H8. It provides an additional 4 XLR inputs.

Can you overdub tracks?

Yes, you can overdub with the H8.

A Great Portable Recorder For Our Youtube Videos!

It's giving a perfect sound quality for our Youtube Videos. The Podcast option is Awesome. I already researched about the product on Internet before ordering. And I am glad I did it. The next update for our company would be Premix 3. The only thing I am missing here on Amazon India is the Bluetooth adapter, to control the settings from our phone! Overall Great Experience!
