This is a mundu, also known as a lungi, which is traditionally worn by Indian men. I bought this as a gift for my dad, and he liked the color and the gold stripes. It's a bit longer than usual in terms of length. However, I noticed that some of the threads seem to be coming loose.

In all transparency, I got this for myself to use as a type of sarang or a shawl. It's absolutely beautiful. It's very well made. The weave is quite lovely and it's super versatile. I really like that. It's made from cotton and breathable material.

I wash first to soften the material then I wear as a skirt around the house. Super comfy, and easy to keep clean! Quality is awesome and the craftsmanship is excellent!

This lungi was bought to use as a Halloween costume. It is a neutral cream color, not pale green as featured in the description. There are many flaws in the weave of the fabric, I had to stitch up about 8 small holes. The raw edges require finishing with a serger to prevent fraying. It is very stiff, hope it softens up after washing. Did not return it due to time constraint, needed for costume event.

I want to give this a good rating just because it is beautiful and durable, but as far as the 42CAD goes, I am going to leave that up to the buyer to decide whether or not they want to spend that kind've money. I think I could have definitely got this for a much better price in a clothing store here in Canada, but I think the fact that you can buy this online justifies the cost for those people who are not in a place to easily get these in store. I appreciate the height of it, especially since I am 6'1, but it is definitely not a dhoti. It is only the size of a Sarong/Sarama/Lungi. Maybe you can use it for a dhoti but there wouldn't be too many pleats to fold. I was surprised that the fabric was very coarse though, almost like denim, I actually like it and I will have to see how the dye holds up after several washes. The stitching is okay too but I don't like that there is no border at the ends to seal off the loose threads. That could be a problem later down the line. All in all I really like this item but probably wouldn't buy it again unless I saw it on sale.
