I got tired of using the old boring hand pencil sharpeners that would break the leads on my color pencils so I bought an electric one. I really like this one a lot. It comes with an usb cord which you can use or use batteries like I did. I like to be able to move it around and not have to have a cord attached so I used four aa batteries instead. It sharpens really well. It is quick and easy so you can get back to coloring your favorite pictures. I had no problems using this at all and it sharpens really nice. It also comes with a spare sharpener. There are no instructions included but I really don't see a need for them you just stick the pencil in and it sharpens. Make sure you empty the shavings and don't let it fill up too full. I know coloring will be so much more fun using the electric sharpener when they wear down. The quality is pretty good and it does not fall apart. It is not too big and bulky just the right size. I received this at a discount in exchange for my honest and unbiased opinion.

This pencil sharpener is not something you want to buy. The design is not good. It is hard to open battery case. The first time I removed the pencil shavings the plastic cover broke. This is something I would not recommend.

Tried with USB and also with batteries --- can't get it to turn on. Turned on for a fraction of a second just once. I'll be returning it.

This has been a great blessing to me, my husband and my Sunday school class. The children find this pencil sharpener very easy to use. It seems like we are all the time needing to sharpen our colored pencils and this sharpener does the trick. It is fast, not very noisy and gets the job done. The pencils comes out with an impressive sharp lead. It can run by 4 AA batteries or a USB cord, which I plugged straight up to my laptop. I found it fairly easy to empty the shavings. I honestly do not have any huge compliant or issue with this pencil sharpener. It has been about the same or better than any other that I have owned. I do really like the compact design. It makes it a breeze to take it with me anywhere I go, definitely a plus! I received this sharpener today. put the batteries (new) in, took awhile to figure that out and then... nothing! it doesn't work. So disappointed.

I like it but wish it had more power.

Absolutely worst product ever, it states it is electric but only comes with a USB cord which does not fit and even when i used a USB cord I had the sharper does not work.
