A cost effective option for pool equipment control.
This controls our pool equipment (both pump and lights). Installed it in a day to replace a much more expensive and complex system. The controller is well built and seems resistant to the elements. The programming is easy but requires an application. Can adjust the chlorinator and read the sal level from the app. The app provides the RPM and watt consumption of the variable speed pump but does not provide flow. You'll need to look at the manual for the pump to see the actual flow for the RPM. So far no issues and I'd recommend this to the more complex and expensive options.

It's good pool control sysytem
It does not connect via Android phone. The app called Link2O is only available on Apple store so now I have to wait a bit til I buy Apple iphone

No options
For a swimming pool controler it should do more than two functions. No solar, no, lights, no auxiliary functions. Had to purchase upgraded one.

Incredibly Intuitive
We have a somewhat basic setup with a Sta-Rite Max-e-pro pump, Sta-Rite DE filter, two heaters (heat pump and Mastertemp), and an Ichlor unit. No hot tub. It took a bit to wire and run the comms but, once set up, the intelliconnect has been amazing. I receive email updates from my Ichlor about salt levels, I can adjust my pump schedule and speed, lighting, and heater operation/temp (for the Mastertemp) all from my phone. We use the heat pump electric unit for supplemental heating and it's not tied into the Intelliconnect. Pools are expensive and this is add-on unit no exception, but the efficiency it adds is great. Pro tip - be sure to order a temp sensor if using with a heater. Depending on your setup you may need to order shielded comm wire as well. Lastly, ensure you have a decent wifi signal wherever this will be installed.

Simple, works great
I looked at a bunch of different options for controlling my pool equipment with my phone. Some are quite expensive and most were way more than what I needed. I only have a pump (IntelliFlo) and a heater. This IntelliConnect is easy to DIY install. The Pentair app is pretty good, I don't even use it much. One thing I like is that when the heater turns on it automatically ramps up the speed to satisfy the heater. That way I can leave the filtration schedule on a lower speed and leave the heater "On". Being able to adjust the temperature of the pool remotely is nice. Certainly not necessary, but a modern convenience, like using a WiFi thermostat. For $400, tough to beat the functionality. I highly recommend.

Works great, setup was difficult.
Bought this to control a very simple pool setup. Single Speed (non-Pentair) pump, iChlor 30 SCG, Hayward Heat Pump, Pentair Intellibrite 5G color lights, and a pentair water temp probe. I had an electrician install the Intelliconnect near my pool equipment and outdoor eletrical panel, but he did not do the programming of the individual components. The setup of this device is the reason it got 4 stars and not 5. The instructions are not detailed and literally nothing worked out of the box. Booting up the device for the first time gives you 10 min to get it connected to wifi, make sure you have the Pentair Home app downloaded beforehand and you have verified sufficient wifi signal in the area you plan to mount the Intelliconnect. There are several videos online that will walk you through the process of getting connected, but beware, Pentair has changed how this device connects recently (switching from Link2O to Pentair Home) and a lot of the videos are for the old method. Once you have the device online and connected to your app, you must setup the IntelliConnect first. This was relatively simple as you can scan a QR code under the cover and it will input the information you need in to the app. Follow the setup steps to create a Pentair home account and you eventually end up with the Intelliconnect device listed in the app. Next select the IntelliConnect in the app and "add device" (Do not click add device from the main screen). START WITH YOUR PUMP! Nothing else in the system (except maybe the lights) will work without the pump. Mine was connected to Relay 1. When you "add device" on Relay 1, it will only list Pentair products, don't worry, select "Single Speed Filter Pump" from the list (assuming you dont have a variable speed pump), choose your voltage, and ensure that you can toggle the pump on and off. Once you have sufficient flow, you can proceed to add the other devices in any order. I ran in to problems and had to contact Pentair support and they were extremely helpful, but unable to assist with connecting my Hayward heat pump (understandable). When I contacted Hayward, they were pretty much useless. They tried to forward me to a local Hayward dealer (of which there are none in a 200 mile radius) and when I called them back, they basically told me they cant help me. Add the Heater as a device under the IntelliConnect and choose "Heater" (unless you have a Pentair heater or heat pump, then choose the appropriate model). The heat pump has a two wire remote control input, matching the 2 wire heater connector on the Intelliconnect, so I ran shielded wires between the two, but it still would not control the heat pump (This same setup existed for the SCG and it worked flawlessy, likely because it was a pentair product). Read the instructions very carefully, you MUST hold both relay buttons for 3 seconds to "activate" the heater. Since most heat pumps have a delay circuit, it may not start up right away. Wait at least 5 min, once you have "activated" the heater for it to start. You can then hold the realy buttons again and turn it back off, put the IntelliConnect back in to Auto mode and viola, the heater is now detected and operating. Be aware, heat pumps are capable of both heating and cooling but the IntelliConnect can only control heating on my Hayward heat pump (this may be different on the Pentair models). I had to put my heat pump in "Heat Only" mode and set the temperature to the max setting of 104 degrees. The last thing to connect was the Intellibright 5g color lights, these connected to Relay 2. When adding them in the app, I selected color lights and was surprised to see not only options for Pentair, but also Jandy and Hayward (wish this were the case for the other devices). I selected the correct lights and was given the option for all 14 colors the lights are capable of. Because the lights are controlled by toggling power numerous times, everytime you want to change the color, you need to turn the lights off, select the new color or color show and then turn the lights back on, wait for 15-20 seconds for the relay to toggle on and off the appropriate number of times and you finally get the color you desire. It isn't an ideal solution, but it is still much better than toggling the light switch up to 14 times. Pentair also makes a color wheel which has wifi connectiviy and can be controlled by the Pentair Home app, but it costs nearly as much as the intelliconnect! I opted to just teach my family the correct way to change the lights. All-in-all, I am very happy with the functions and value that the IntelliConnect provides, it costs a fraction of the competition and even other offerings from Pentair. If you have a very basic pool setup and a limited budget, you can get this installed for under $1000. Be prepared to spend some time on the phone with Pentair support, but they were extremely helpful and knowledgable. It was not the easiest setup and if you are technologically impaired, I would highly recommend hiring a certified Pentair technician to install it.

Well Built
I had a professional install the device. I did the software setup without issues. App is pretty self explanatory for at least the basic setup I needed: One main pump and a booster pump. The app isn’t perfect but is definitely usable. Hardware is well built. One main benefit I noticed from competing products is that this product communicates on standard wifi. Some of the other products I saw that were cheaper did not and required a third party hub to translate their communication to a standard network. Big plus for this product in my opinion.
